My dad has taken a job in Ireland and we were almost all packed and ready to go.
"Leah come down stairs I have something to show you!" My mother called.
"Ya?" I said
"This is our new house in Ireland! Isn't it wonderful?"
"Ya sure not as wonderful as this house" I said trying not to cry.
"I'm sorry honey but we have to move, besides, I'm sure you'll make tons of friends in Mullingar!"
"What if I don't wanna make tons of friends?" I said crying running up the stairs to my comfy little old room.
As I continued packing my stuff my phone went off with a text from my best friend
'Hey do u want me to come over? Ur mom said u were pretty upset...'
'Ya please:((' I replied. I was going to miss her the most, we have been best friends since 1st grade.
My friend came into my room
"Are you okay Leah?"
"I'll be fine... I just don't think I'm ready to leave yet"
She helped me finish packing my stuff until it was time for her to go.
"I'll miss you! Don't forget to text me and message me on facebook!"
"I won't" You said crying.
The next morning you were up early and on your way to the airport.
It was a 8 hour flight to Dublin and then a drive to Mullingar.
We had finally arrived in Mullingar and it was about 2pm.
"Ugh... Why does jetlag have to exsist?" I complained to my parents.
"You'll be fine, go look at your new room and tell us how you like it!"
As I was walking upstairs I heard the doorbell ring. I ran down the steps and opened the door.
It was a cute blonde boy with beautiful blue eyes.
"Hi, uh, my names Niall" He said in his thick Irish accent.
"Hello.... I'm Leah" I replied trying not to stutter
"Well I'm your neighbor and I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. Would you like to come over maybe?"
"Uhh, sure... Let me tell my parents"
"Ok, I'll wait" He smiled, I could tell he was blushing.
As I walked into Niall's house I could smell something really familiar...
"Whats that smell? I've smelt it before..."
"Oh I doubt that, it's Nandos!"
"They have Nandos here in Ireland?" You said in excitement.
"Ya, have you had it before?"
"Yes! I eat Nandos all the time! They have one back in New York."
"Really? I didn't know that... Nandos is my favorite!
"Mine too" You replied smiling
You and Niall sat upstairs in his room just talking. You found out you were in the same grade and that you both go to the same school just down the road.
"Oh your gonna love it... People are nice, but the uniforms bite!" He said walking to his closet pulling out his uniform.
"Oh funnnnnn" You said sarcasticly
"What time do you think you should go home? Its almost 8...."
"Really?! I was suppose to be home before 6! Crap!!" You said getting up and walking down the stairs.
You heard Niall laughing.
Awww I love his laugh you thought to yourself.
"Where were you?" Your father said frustraited
"I was at Niall's, it's okay!"
"I told her she could go.... Just leave her be" Your mom said saving you from getting in trouble.
You went into your new room where all your boxes of stuff was.
As you unpacked you found your phone, it had a 20 messages all from your best friend freaking out.
'I'm fine!!! I was over at my friend Niall's house'
'Oohhhh friend;) Whats he look like'
'Oh shut ur trap we just met.... He had Nandos though:))'
'Match made in heaven;)'
'Whatever shush lol.... I need to take a shower'
'K text me later about your "friend"....'
I woke up early the next morning and got dressed into normal clothes. I didn't have the ugly uniform yet...
I walked into the kitchen to get breakfast and see Niall sitting at our table talking to my mom.
" Hey Niall...... What're you doing here?"
"He came to walk with you to school"
He smiled cheekily and nodded in agreement...
