There door opened, revealing Adam's mom. "Hi everyone!" she exclaimed. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Adam cover his face in embarrassment. I almost laughed.

"Vanessa and Reeve." she said. "Your parents called for you. Kai, your butler called for you."

"Thank you." Vanessa said.

"Let's go." Reeve said.

"Why me?"

"Because I said so." Reeve said.

I sighed, then followed him out the house. "You're really bossy." I said.

"Heard that before, be more creative." He pulled out his phone, and looked at it for a minute.

"My mom said that I have a few minutes before I need to go home. Do you want to talk about The Hollow at your place?"

I thought about my room at the orphanage, shabby, messy, and in ruins. "Um."

"Is that a yes?" he asked.

"I don't exactly have a home?" I asked.

Reeve's eyes widen. "I'm not homeless!" I quickly said. "I...just don't have parents."

"You live in Sweet Children Orphanage?" he asked.

"SCO, yes." I said.

I could see pity falling onto his face. "It's okay, really!" I said. "I'm used to it."

"Wow." he said. "Wow." He was in shock.

"I'll just go there." I said. "You go home." I walked away, feeling the gaze of his eyes on the back of my neck as I turned to corner.

I arrived at the orphanage, and went inside. "There you are!" Ms.Bee exclaimed. "It's almost dinner! Go wash up and eat."

I nodded, and went to the bathroom, where my clothes are waiting for me. I showered, thinking about the way Reeve looked at me when I revealed that I don't have a family.

Pity. I hate pity.

It makes me think that I'm weak, when I know that I'm not. I can't tell the others.

If Reeve reacted like that, how would the others react. No, not telling.

He might have already told them, though.

I groaned, changed into my clothes, and headed downstairs to eat.
