Do you know the saying about rose-colored glasses? yeah, fuck that, I'm wearing a rose-colored space helmet. No matter what I do, who I talk to about this, and where I go, I can't help but see the good in him. His hair, his eyes, his jawline, the way he sways on stage, the way his nose crinkles when he smiles. It's enough to inspire thousands and thousands of songs, paintings, and poems, though that's the case, none of them could really capture the beauty that is Mikey Fuckin' Way.

I can't understand what about him draws me in so much more than the handful of other girls he's slept with, what was so special about Me of all people, but there was something. The way I looked at him on stage, the way his hand would brush my hip every time he walked past me backstage, it made me feel special. It made me feel like I was the most important boy in his life and god, I loved every last second of it.

I was brought out of my thoughts by Andy, waving a hand over my face that was buried in my notebook, quickly scribbling out Mikey's name before looking up at him.

"Hey man, were going to that bar downtown, you feel like joining us?" he asked. We were stuck in Ohio for for warped tour, it was the middle of July and hot as hell outside. I glanced up at him, giving a small nod as I stood up from my seat at our busses dinner table. He flashed a small smile at me, the small ball stud right under his bottom lip flashing a bit from the shift in lighting, "Alright, let's get going then, Joe and Patrick had left ahead of us anyways."

It was sunset despite it being 8:30 in the evening. That's one thing I like about summer, the sunsets, especially if I'm with someone I enjoy being around, like Patrick, or...anyways. The air was warm, but not too warm since the sun was practically gone by now, so I could dress like a normal human being. Walking alongside Andy, we finally managed to get to the bar after a half an hour of walking. Took us long enough.

As we walked in, I already saw Joe and Patrick at the bar, they were sitting with Tom Higgenson from the Plain White T's, and Matt McGinley of Gym Class Heroes. They were drinking and talking amongst themselves, it looked like they were having fun. I continued to walk around the venue, Andy disappearing from my side somewhere along the way, leaving me on my own in a sea of rockstars who were all performing with the tour as well. I kept walking until I saw Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance talking with Matt Watts from The Starting Line, it made me freeze in my spot, if Gerard was here, that meant the rest of the band might be here. My cheeks flushed a soft pink just at the thought of seeing HIM again. I heard my heartbeat in my ears from how excited I was. Looking around the bar a little more, I saw Ray Toro, I saw Frank Iero, I even saw Bob Bryar, but I didn't see Mikey anywhere. After a while I simply gave up, sitting down at the bar ledge and sitting in silence, the bartender walked up to me and asked for my order, and I ordered two shots of whisky.

I sat there patiently, waiting for the bartender to pour my shot, turning my head to look around when I finally saw him, Mikey fuckin' way. He was sitting on the other end of the bar, his glasses shining a little from the glare of the overhead lights, his lips soft and pouty with his gaze aimed down at his drink. He was wearing that Anthrax shirt again, I swear, that thing is melded to his skin with how much he's worn it, and black jeans with black laced-up boots, he looked so pretty to me. I stared at him for a good few minutes, not noticing that the bartender already poured my shots, my brain refusing to shut off with the thoughts of him going through my head. He looked over at me, noticing my staring as I immediately looked away, my heart speeding up with the adrenaline of getting caught, I immediately grabbed one of the two shots and downed it quickly, slamming it down on the bar table. If I was gonna talk to him at all while I'm here, I need to be A LOT more drunk. I felt someone sit next to me, a hand being set on my shoulder as his voice rang out, my ears ringing presently from hearing his voice, my heart, once again, speeding up.

"Hey Pete," he said, his voice softer, a bit more gentle than normal as he continued, "Didn't expect to see you here tonight, are you here with the rest of your band?" I nodded, finally managing to look back up at him, he looked even prettier up close. My cheeks heated up a bit more, my words failing me a little before I managed to push something out, wanting to talk to him.

"Yeah...Andy dragged me out of the bus"

That was a lie, he asked, I said yes, but maybe if I exaggerated a little bit he would laugh, and my god he did. A small chuckle left his throat as he spoke again, looking up at me with those soft hazel eyes, "Yeah sounds about right, I had to drag Gerard out of our bus, he REALLY didn't wanna talk to people but we didn't wanna leave him alone on the bus."

Suddenly, Mikey's name rang out from the crowd, when we both turned around, we saw that it was Ray, calling him over. Mikey smiled a little and squeezed my shoulder. "I gotta go, I'll see you later, alright?"

I nodded, letting him stand up and walk away from me, and over to Ray, watching him leave hurt my heart a little bit. I looked back over to my shot glasses, staring at them for a moment before grabbing the second glass, quickly downing that one too, calling out to the bartender. "Sir! Another two shots please!"
