Jarvis POV
I really don't feel like going in here.
Esme didn't have to search for a parking spot given that we were one of the first to be here. Since she is me and Carmens ride to school, this forces us to act on her schedule, which means arriving at school by 6:40, that doesn't even officially start until 7:40.
I'm currently working on getting my driver's license for Carmen and me. I'm confident that I'll be able to pass the test this upcoming week. Considering that I have been learning how to drive since I was thirteen.
With the amount of time that we have before school begins, Esme has her laptop out, working on school related things. Carmen is taking a nap, trying to catch up on all of the sleep he's missed out on the night before.
And me.
I just entertain myself with my phone. There are some occasions where I would either be reading a book or drawing.
Time has passed, the school parking lot is filled to the brim, and it is now time for us to start heading into the school building. As we walk through the hallways on our way to the front office I begin feeling a bit self-conscious. Seeing all of these familiar faces that I have grown accustomed to since the three years I've been here has caused me to be on edge. So many embarrassing moments I have experienced in front of so many different people in different classes.
Carmen and Esme are by no means popular, but they sure do have an easier time associating with other people than me.
We stopped by the office, exchanged a few words with the receptionist, and retrieved our schedules. We compare and my first class is biology, neither Carmen or Esme have that as their first period so I go my own separate way.
I walk into the class and see that only seven students are present in the room besides me. The teacher isn't here either. I decided to sit in the front row. Normally I would go to the back of the room, mainly because I'm tall and tend to block people's vision. But since my mom hasn't taken me to get a new pair of glasses I'm forced to sit more towards the front.
I take out a notebook and write 'biology' at the top along with my name. It's currently 7:32 so I begin doodling in the notebook to help pass the eight minutes that are left before class starts.
The teacher ends up making it to class at the exact time the class bell rings, along with some of the other students. He then proceeds to give us an in depth explanation as to why he wasn't in the room earlier. Not that I or the other students really care, but there are some that appear to be listening. Even though they're most likely just fawning over the looks of him. He eventually stops his rambling and gives us an icebreaker to do amongst ourselves. Only butting in when he feels we aren't interacting with each other enough.
He then tells us to get into pairs. Me not really being friends with anyone in this school besides Esme and Carmen, I end up standing off to the side watching everyone pair up with their friends. Once the pairs are finally together and have moved onto the side to talk about whatever, I begin looking around to find someone else who doesn't have a partner.
After a half-assed search I give up and occupy a seat away from the teacher's view.
About only 15 seconds pass before I see someone in my peripheral walking up to me. I turn my head towards the person and see that it's a beautiful girl. She smiles when I notice her. "Hey, I noticed you didn't have a partner, I don't have one either. Do you wanna pair up?" She asks me hopefully.
Not wanting to miss an opportunity to make a new friend I immediately agreed. "Yeah, of course, but you'll have to remind me what questions he wanted us to ask each other. I wasn't really listening after he told us we were doing icebreakers."
