They hadn't heard from you since Thursday morning when you left for your younger sister's wedding that weekend. You haven't answered calls or replied to texts, and your social media shows you haven't been on in four days.
On Monday, they go over to your place at Jimin's insistence. He kept nagging them that something wasn't right. He could feel it in his heart. Jin, ever the mother hen, insisted one of them has a spare key, "Just in case."
He unlocks your door. They enter your place, and it reeks of stale cigarettes and alcohol.
RM calls, "Lorrie? Lorrie, are you home?" There is no answer.
Jimin heads straight to your room, and Yoongi follows behind him. They glance at the kitchen and the other bedroom on the way.
Jin and J Hope instantly started cleaning up empty pizza boxes, food containers, empty beer cans, and liquor bottles.
"She doesn't smoke. She hates it. Why so many cigarette butts and full ashtrays?" Jin wonders out loud.
J Hope asks, "Why ashtrays at all?"
Jin and J Hope look at each other worried. You always kept your place spotless.
Taehyung picks up the beer cans; confused, he says, "She doesn't even like beer." He looks around at the others, "Is she having parties and not inviting us?"
J Hope says, "She would never leave her place like this after a party."
RM and Jungkook are going through your mail. "These are days old, and her mail hasn't even been opened," says RM.
Jungkook picks up a wrapped package and says, "This is the bracelet I ordered for her. She hasn't even opened it. She was excited I found it because it had been sold out for weeks, and she wanted it to wear at the wedding."
Jungkook looks at RM, his voice filled with worry. "Where is she?"
Jin says, "Maybe she isn't home." He shrugs, "She may have decided to stay a little longer."
J Hope contradicts him, saying, "She would have let us know. She knows how we worry about her."
"And she would have taken the bracelet too." says a very concerned Jungkook.
Jimin and Yoongi open the door to your bedroom. Wearing only a stained oversized t-shirt, your hands are tied to the head of the bed. They both gasp in shock and run to you.
"What the hell!" Yoongi cries out.
Jimin reaches you first, "Oh my god, Lorrie!" He and Yoongi start untying your hands.
Shocked, he looks at his hyung and says, "We can't let them see her like this." He knows how embarrassed you will feel. You were always modest, except when alone with him.
Yoongi curses as he gets out his phone to call the authorities. He hears you whisper hoarsely, "No, oppa, no."
Yoongi looks at you. "Lorr, why not?" he asks, astounded that you don't want him to call.
"Just please don't." You try to swallow, but only cough due to the dryness of your throat. You whisper, "I would rather die."
You look very pale and Jimin notices you look thinner. He knew you had started a diet weeks ago because you wanted to lose a little to fit the bridesmaids' dress your sister bought you.
"Princess, when did you last eat?" asks Jimin as he helps you sit up. He and Yoongi tenderly start caressing your wrists and hands to restore circulation.
You mumble weakly, "I don't know." You lean onto Jimin.
"When did you last shower?" he asks.
You can hardly speak, and your throat is so dry. "I don't know," is all you can whisper.
"I'm going to make you something to eat. Jimin, you help her get cleaned up," says Yoongi as he gives you a brief kiss on the cheek before he leaves. "Yeah, a shower is a great idea," he says to Jimin.
Yoongi tells the others they found you. They started to rush towards the hall that leads to your room. Yoongi steps in front of them.
"She isn't feeling well . . . "he says.
RM interrupts, "Ah so she's just sick. We'll get her better quickly." They start towards the hall again.
Yoongi gives RM an almost imperceptible shake of the head, which RM notices. He stops, blocking the others. He knows there is more going on than his hyung admits.
Yoongi says, "Jimin is taking care of her. He'll bring her out when she's ready."
Jungkook asks, "So she is sick?"
Jin starts to push past Yoongi to go to you, "Let me tend to her if she's sick. I'll see if she wants me to make her some soup. It won't take me long to go home and bring it back."
Yoongi stops him and puts his hand out, telling him, "No. Let Jimin take care of her."
"But . . ."Jin starts to argue.
"I said no. Not now, anyway. But we need to get her out of here," says Yoongi. Then he tells him, "Jin hyung, find her something to eat here. I'm going to pack her stuff."
RM asks, "What do you want the rest of us to do?"
"Wait," is all he says as he turns to head back to your room but sighs and turns back around. "I know that is hard for you, especially you, Kooki."
He looks at Jungkook and says, "See if you can find her purse and any papers of importance, like bank statements, her laptop, things like that." They start looking as Yoongi heads back to your room.
Taehyung is looking around the room and spots your bag. He says, "I see her backpack. We can put her things in that."
He reaches beside the couch and he and Jungkook go through it to make room for more important things.
Jin remembers your great-grandmother's recipe book and goes looking in the kitchen for it. He thinks 'That is something important.'
As he is doing that he is looking for something to make you to eat so you will feel better, but little does he know, you are not suffering from an illness.
(A/N: trigger warning: next chapter talks of abuse and has a picture of bruises)
