Chapter 2: Pinheads

There were four mercenaries, three men, one woman. They had been watching the group of boys since they got to their camp site, stalking them getting as much information as possible before they had them all trapped. The mercenaries tied rope around Bakugo and Todoroki's hands; the other two were star-struck when they pulled Izuku up into the tree to do the same when they saw his bleeding head and limp body. They yelled to the others and had Bakugo, Todoroki lowered to the ground before being thrown onto the back of a truck. The women hopped through the trees to Izuku and the other two, *SMACK* "IMBECILES! you could have killed him, why can't you two idiots ever just be careful with the merchandise." She had slapped them both. *sigh* she reached in to check Izuku's pulse, at least he was alive she thought. She helped the other two men lower Izuku to the ground extremely carefully, once Izuku was on the ground the woman tied his hands together and put him in a separate truck from Bakugo and Todoroki. The women called their personal doctor and told him to be at their base of operation by the time they returned. And he was. Todoroki and Bakugo were thrown into a cell together with no more clothes covering their faces and the only thing they could say was "Where's Izuku you bastards!?" and "Wait! Is he alive?" They were both mentally exhausted and Todoroki was on the verge of tears. Bakugo was so pissed you'd never guess he was a cop in training. He looked about ready to rip the bars off the walls and kill someone. The man just walked away with no answers for either of the boys. Meanwhile the women and the doctor collectively brought Izuku into the building on a stretcher. The doctor held a soft cloth over Izuku's gushing head wound, while the women pushed the stretcher down the hallway past Bakugo and Todoroki's cell. Both of them noticed and jumped up and ran to the doorway hands on the bars like prisoners. Todoroki cried, a few wet droplets falling down his cheeks, water in his eyes, he barely managed to make his voice clear but still tried "miss please, tell me... is he ok '' no reply but she stopped in her tracks contemplating whether or not to answer. "He's not dead" she muttered under her breath, the place was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, but Todoroki heard what she said and it was enough for him. He let out a weak smile silently thanking her and she walked away pushing the stretcher down the hall to their medical room. The doctor put Izuku on the bed, examining him in the process. The doctor asked what had happened and the women closed the door and sighed, "those two idiots again. There lucky I don't just kill them one day." The doctor starts to sew Izuku's head wound back together, "sure, but you won't" he replied. " Comn' Amber, you and I both know they're a couple of pin heads but you still need them, you won't kill them. So what happened?" Amber glaring at the doctor now with a stare so deadly even the Grim Reaper would be scared. "The kid was in the trap and the knuckleheads pulled him up too fast, so he swung and hit his head on a giant rock off to the side.. hard." Amber slides her hand up and down her arm, "I thought they killed him, Tanner. What would we do when the buyer finds out we killed the kid? We'd all have been so screwed! What am I going to do with those two if they're not careful. next time OUR lives might be on the line." Tanner slides his wheely chair over to the x-ray machine and sets it up, "but they didn't kill him, as you can see he's still breathing. And if you're so worried about getting them hurt or yourself, fire them or set them up at a job interview first. Break the news gently and get rid of them. It'll keep us all out of harm's way including them." The x-ray machine made a bunch of noise, it finished its transition. Tanner swings around to look at the images of Izuku's skull, "hmm... look Amber, his skull is fractured, but it's not broken. I can heal this easily especially when yours truly got his hands on some of that super secret sciencey healing potion they came up with. I stole some last night." It's a weird glowing teal liquid In 20 little glass vials with black screw on tops, and lettering on the side with the mixture name and what the main ingredients were. "See I was going to use these to figure out how they were made so I can make more for us, but seeing as how most of the ingredients are labeled on the side anyways I'm only going to need a few to figure the rest out so I can spare some at the moment. I've already had one of them tested on an injured rabbit, and it's already completely healed and showing no side effects, so may I use one to further heal broccoli over here?" Silence between the two for what feels like forever but it was only two minutes. "Fine, if he dies though... I'll sell you to the buyer instead."
