Grass is Greener on Kota's Side.

Part 1.
The next morning, the boys all set to work, each with their own job in order to find this cat's owner.
Victor and Mr. Blackbourne were designing 'Found' pamphlets, while Silas, North and Nathan were out asking people if they've lost a cat.
Gabriel and Kota were in the attic space, looking for a type of bed that it could be comfortable resting in.
Dr. Green, Luke and I were taking care of the cat; feeding it, letting it sleep comfortably.
I stroked the cat in my lap, soothing him. He developed a fondness for me. Apparently cats have an affinity for certain types of people, and according to Dr. Green, I have a 'sensitive soul'. I wasn't sure exactly how to interpret that but it still made me blush.
Luke, ever so gently, pushed at its fur to reveal the collar, leaning over me so all I could see was his blonde hair, "His name is Elvis."
Dr. Green chuckled, "So I'm guessing his owners are a fan of '50s music?" he looked thoughtful for a moment, "I wonder if this house has a CD player and some discs. Maybe Elvis likes music."
"Cats can like music?" Luke asked. Dr. Green smirked, "Look at you boys, you're all animals and you all like music," he smiled sweetly at me, "Not Sang, though, she's an exception. She's a sophisticated animal, not rowdy like you lot."
"I can't be an animal with this cast on," Luke grunted, touching his leg and scratching, "Is it meant to be itchy?"
Befor Dr. Green could answer, at that moment, we all jumped to a loud smash up in the attic, followed by a distinctive Gabriel curse.
Luke winced, "I hope that wasn't anything important."
I frowned, "Does anyone own this place? Are we renting it?"
Luke just shrugged, "I don't know. Ask Mr. Blackbourne."
In my mind, I told myself to ask him later.
Loud footsteps thundered down the staircase until Kota appeared into the entrance, holding a dusty pet bed, "I found one. It has a couple of rips but it'll do."
"And I can always fix it." Gabriel said, holding an acoustic guitar, "There's a sewing machine upstairs." He plonked down on the couch opposite us and started tuning the instrument.
Dr. Green just looked at him, "Is that what crashed earlier?"
Gabriel smirked, looking a little amused, "Umm...I don't know what that was."
Kota huffed, "He reached up to grab that guitar from the higher shelf and something fell. It's completely broken and not fixable." He lay a stern glare at Gabriel who just looked at me instead with pursing lips and a cheeky wink. I just grinned back.
"Hey, Sang, come look." Victor called from down the hallway.
Dr. Green carefully handled the fragile cat as I stood, stretching my arms out before I walked over to them.
Standing behind Victor, I looked over his shoulder to see the computer screen. Open, they had created an A4 pamphlet with a picture of the cat. Mr. Blackbourne pointed to the screen, "We made it simple, but used the colours to make it seem more urgent to the eye. It catches your attention, no?" Mr. Blackbourne eyed me in his dark jeans and black polo shirt. He doesn't always dress this casual but I quite like it.
Victor looped one of my arms around his shoulders so I was half-hugging him from behind. Kissing my knuckles gently, he glanced up at me, "That cat will be with its owners before the end of the week, I bet."
"No betting!" Kota called as he approached us, knocking me playfully with his arm, "It'll turn into some kind of game and then she'll cheat."
Huffing, I raised an eyebrow, "I don't know what you are talking about, honestly."
Kota and Victor both laughed, "Yeah, yeah, sure." Victor teased, standing up as he turned to Kota, "What do we have for breakfast, I haven't eaten."
They both left for the kitchen, leaving me alone with Mr. Blackbourne.
Feeling shy, I automatically looked at my shoes, wanting to distract myself from his intense gaze.
He stood up and placed a finger under my chin, forcing me look up at him.
I guess you never really can escape his eyes.
He quirked an eyebrow ever so slightly, "Don't let them tease you if you don't enjoy it, you know that, right?"
I nodded, "Yes, I know," I played with my fingers, "They weren't annoying me though."
His millimetre smirk appeared and he lowered his finger, taking a step closer, the tips of our noses barely touching. His mouth moved to my ear as he whispered, his hot breath sending tingles along my spine, "Good girl."
It had been so long since I had been alone with him. So much, I wanted to close that gap between us, but I couldn't find it in myself to move. Maybe it's because the boys are just in the other room, but it's also his intensity. He captivates me.
When his eyes met mine again, my breath caught at the sparkling silver, and, for a moment, I thought he felt the same I did. My mind races to our first kiss together, that rainy day with his car, and I didn't want to hold back anymore.
We leant forward at the same time.
My eyes began to close.
The moment was lost and my eyes fluttered wide as the front door opened. Mr. Blackbourne stepped back, sitting back down at the computer and gave me one last strong stare, "Later."
That was all he said.
