Who? | The Dhampir (Book Two)

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a personal update with you all. A few days ago, I was getting ready to announce that I'd be reposting the chapters of book 2 when something unexpected happened. I received a notification that Wattpad and Wattpad Explorer added my story to their reading lists. Since then, I've been seeing new readers discovering my story every hour.

It's a moment I've been hoping for—to be discovered. And part of me is truly happy about it. But there's another scary part. I worry that my book isn't quite ready and that new readers will see all the mistakes I couldn't fix in time, being only human. The perfectionist in me screams to unpublish the story, criticizing my writing style and reminding me that English isn't my first language. It's like a protective instinct, wanting to shield my work from any possible criticism.

Despite these fears, I know I shouldn't dwell on the imperfections. I've grown a lot in my three (almost four) years on Wattpad as a writer. Yet, this fear keeps me up at night. So, I'm sharing this internal struggle with you all. This feels like a safe space, and I believe I've found the right people to share this part of me with.

I hope this milestone brings long-term happiness rather than disappointment. I see it as an opportunity to learn and grow. I'll try not to be too hard on myself for missing a comma or two and instead focus on welcoming new readers, even those who may not enjoy my book. I know I can't please everyone.
