"A GRYFFINDOR PARTY?"
Apparently Slytherin invitation to a Gryffindor party was not a common occurrence. As in, it had never happened before. Ever.
"This is so fucked." Mia groaned, clutching her head as though her world were falling apart.
"I think it's a step in the right direction. I'm sick of this rivalry all the time," Amy countered, "I saw a Gryffindor tear up a library book yesterday because they thought it was a Slytherin's. It's pathetic."
Olivia scrunched her face up in disgust of the childish behaviour. While she was all for some healthy competition and harmless fun, most in the school took the rivalry way too seriously.
"It's just WEIRD! The Weasley twins inviting us to a party..."
Olivia's heart stuttered at the girls incredulous statement, momentarily panicked that she would pry further with questions she couldn't answer. Shaking off the unexpected emotion, she continued to apply her eyeliner, buffing it out to give it a subtle smoky effect.
Mia stalked off to the bathroom to straighten her green hair, unaware of the effect she had just had on her friend. Amy dropped onto the floor next to her, casting an arm around her shoulders playfully.
"Do you know what you're going to wear?" She questioned, trying to hide her knowing look with an excited glint.
"No clue. Something green probably."
Amy hummed in approval, before taking the reins of the conversation, sensing Olivia would rather listen.
"I can't decide between cargo's or a skirt. Who knows what the vibe is gonna be? Maybe people will be wearing dresses too."
She rambled on, allowing Olivia a soft focus on her trivial words as she quickly recovered herself.
"Fancy a pre-drink?" Mia emerged from the bathroom, a bottle of firewiskey in her hands.
"Duh."
The girls accepted the bottle, passing it between each other as they got ready and gossiped over their predictions of what a Gryffindor party would be like. By now it would have just started, but they knew better than to be on time.
"Wait. Did anyone tell Adrian?"
They all looked around at each other, instantly realising their mistake.
"Shit."
They rushed out of their room and up to the boys dorms at top speed. Olivia shoved the door open, Amy beside her and Mia slightly behind them in the middle.
"Adrian, did you hear -"
Two figures turned at the voice, startled.
"Freya?!" Amy looked at the pair, disbelieving.
"S-she just came here. I -" Adrian stuttered, righting his crooked tie and trying to defend the situation.
Freya locked eyes with Olivia's, hers filled with smug superiority. Who the hell was this girl? She didn't even like Adrian!
"Side. Eye." Mia whispered into her hair, enunciating each word in a way that made her burst into laughter.
"Adrian, we're going a Gryffindor party."
"A GRYFFINDOR PARTY?"

The group of five approached the Gryffindor common room, which was suspiciously silent from the outside. Using the password Fred had given her, they passed through the Fat lady, ignoring her indignant words.
