Richard Sweeney watched the excavator dig up a fresh plot. He had another funeral to put together, but instead he was watching the excavator dig. He almost hadn't taken this one. Heidi was in another mood and there was about a 50/50 chance that she'd show up on his doorstep with another asshole that happened to catch her on a bad day. The worst part? He didn't even care about that, he was more worried about his back that still hadn't recovered from burying that body last week. He sighed. He really was getting to be horrible in his old age, wasn't he? His only consolation was that his daughter was happily distracted with some Australian guy she still hadn't brought over to meet. He was curious, but he was also busy and when she came over to have lunch with him she was absolutely glowing, so he couldn't have been that bad. He didn't want to overstep her boundaries by continuing to ask to meet him, because he knew she'd bring him over when she was ready. That being said, Heidi was not as understanding. She kept going back and forth about how excited she was for her niece, and how insulted she was that Caroline was keeping him from them. Hearing her rant, Richard completely understood why Caroline might be hesitant about bringing this man around. Still, it didn't make him any less curious. He sighed and stood up, brushing the dirt off his pants, figuring that he had better stop stalling and better start putting together that funeral.
