A few months later

Today is the day I am going wedding dress shopping. After we came back from Cape Cod, we decided to get married right away, not wanting to spend another day dating anymore and just making it legal, as we already acted like a married couple. I also never went on birth control, and we decided to try for another baby. Chris kept his promise and attended his last premiere for Lightyear; in fact, we all did. Aria was over the moon that night, and Chris stuck by us the entire night, not leaving our sides. The next morning, his team released an article announcing Chris's retirement from acting.

A month ago, Chris and his good friend Mark discussed and decided to create a political site. They are all set to launch the website. I remember when Chris was so nervous to bring it up to me, and I was also busy with my book coming out, that I knew he needed to do something, so I fully supported his decision.

I put my sandals on and headed downstairs. Scarlett and her daughter were over, along with Sebastian and Mackie; they were staying for the wedding.

We decided to go to the courthouse, get married, and have a mini reception here at our home in the backyard in four days.

"Leaving so soon, baby," I hear Chris's voice as I walk towards the garage where Ma, Shanna, and Carly are waiting for me.

"Yes, handsome, and you better let me go before Aria runs over and stops me," I say as Chris has a tight grip on my hips. I look over him and see Aria playing on top of Mackie's shoulder.

"Okay, but I want a kiss—a steamy kiss," he says as he leans down to reach my face.

I pull him closer and give him the kiss of his dreams, earning a few moans, and I push him running into the garage.

...

"Mrs. Evans, are you ready for our first dance?" Chris says he's bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Ready as I will ever be, Mr. Evans," I say as he takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor.

Mrs Evans. I just couldn't believe I was finally married to the love of my life. The whole process of organizing the wedding was an amazing experience. From dress shopping all the way to choosing what decor would go on the tables at the reception, We decided to have it in our backyard.

The wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful. We went down to the courthouse earlier today and got married. We went out to grab lunch at a fancy restaurant Chris booked, and when we came back home, everyone was ready for us to be introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Evans.

Chris's family and close friends are all in attendance, and I won't have it any other way.

"Did I lose you, baby?" I hear Chris say this as his hands tighten on my hips.

"Sorry, I just can't believe we are here, celebrating our love in our forever home with the people we love the most," I say as I adjust my hands around his neck.

Chris leans in and gives me a kiss, and I look down and see Aria pulling on my dress.

"Up..." she says, and Chris picks her up. We give her a kiss on both cheeks, and she giggles. The DJ announces the dance floor is open, and soon everyone joins us.

...

Chris and I are just finishing up dinner, and everyone is mingling around. Ma took Aria upstairs and put her to bed. After an hour, we said goodnight to everyone and headed back upstairs for some alone time.

...

I giggled warmly as Chris hooked his arms under my thighs and effortlessly picked me up, walking us into our room.
