Kai POV

Today was the day we packed all our bags cleaned up and talked to Wu about Lloyd we didn't say Lloyd's name because we were in a rush but he still agreed to letting him live with us.

I finished early so I decided to go see how Lloyd and Jay were doing. Jay seemed more energetic when meeting Lloyd so I hope Lloyd didn't get overwhelmed with all the questions. That's when I saw Jay running to me looking panicked.

Jay: KAI did Lloyd go see you

Kai: what no he was with you... WAIT JAY WHERE IS LLOYD

Jay: I was packing and asking Lloyd some questions like dose he burn in sun which surprisingly no he doesn't but when I finish packing he was gone.

Kai: okay we just need to find him before we leave and make sure we get to him before hunters do. Remember he is still hurt so he couldn't have gone far.

After talking to the others I left into the woods looking for Lloyd. After a little bit I made it to the river and low and behold there was Lloyd on a rock in the middle of the river catching fish and sucking their blood.
I went by him as he was eating and sat down

Kai: dose it hurt the fish when you drink their blood?

I guess he didn't know I was there because when I said that he jumped.

Lloyd: oh it's you um no it doesn't hurt them I have venom that numbs the pain it just makes them weak.

Kai: once you bite them do you have to suck all of it at ones so they don't bleed out.

Lloyd: well fish don't have much blood so it's not really worth saving it but if it was let's say a moose or something big my saliva has a chemical in it that immediately clog the blood so no blood comes out so all I really have to do it lick the bite marks.

Kai: that's kind of cool. why are you out here I mean you could've told us if you were going for food we don't mind I mean you need to eat.

Lloyd: what's with the questions you sound like the freckled kid always asking questions are all humans like this.

Kai: ha I guess I'm just wondering but seriously are you okay I mean you seem down.

Lloyd's eyes dropped to the ground showing sadness and fear he just looked up at the trees then at the running water.

Lloyd: I have been in these woods ever since I can remember I don't have birth givers or Parents... like you say it so the animals have always been in some way family so I guess I'm just scared of what is beyond the woods what if I stand out to much or what if I can't find food I can't eat human food without a special tea that make it were I can digest human food.

I put my hand on his shoulder and my other on his chin to make him look at me

Kai: hey it's okay you have us now and we have small woods back behind where we live with lots of animals and our master specializes in tea he knows teas that oni made years ago you are safe with us it's scary yes but your not alone anymore.

With that he rapped his arms around me into a hug that's when I felt a small vibration coming from him it took a second but I realized he was purring it was so cute.

Kai: okay the others are waiting you ready to go

He was hesitant but then got up and we started walking back to the camp where the others were waiting.
