"FADING OLD PORTS, SEND THEM OFF TO CAST
THE HAZY WATER WILL NEVER PULL THEM BACK."

SEPTEMBER 1, 1975

The sorting ceremony was a blur, Jovina sat with the rest of her house, at the edge of the table where new first years would sit, praying at least one of her twin brothers would be in the same house as her.

Much to her dismay, she was right. At least one of the twins were in Ravenclaw with her.

Only one of them.

Sebastian was sorted by the hat first, and was put into Gryffindor, seeing her brother walk over to the table made her worried, but her nervousness drifted away as Marlene, Mary and Lily locked eyes with her, reassuring her that it would be okay.

Theo was sorted into Ravenclaw with her, being a little upset he wasn't going to be with his twin brother, his mood perked up seeing his older sister smiling over at him, welcoming him with open arms.

They shared a brief hug, before they pulled away and awaited the rest of the sorting ceremony.

As soon as all the first years were sorted and everyone sat at the table. The feast had begun.

Chicken, roast beef, potatoes, vegetables, bread rolls and pumpkin juice were spread around the entirety of every table, all the students digging in for the back to school feast.

For the remainder of the dinner, Theo stayed quiet, a little too quiet than Jovina would understand, she looked down to her little brother, her hand ruffling his hair

"Everything alright?" She asked him, concerned at her brothers quietness

Theodore shrugged his shoulders, taking a bite of the chicken leg in his hand before looking over to the Gryffindor table towards his brother, at that exact moment, Jovina knew what was happening.

She looked over to the table that sat her best friends, rival, and her little brother sat.
Sebastian looked like he was having fun, but at the same time, not as much as he would have by his twin brother, his all time best friend, the person who knew him better than anyone else.

She looked over to Marlene and the other girls, trying to cheer him up as he sat between Marlene and James, she could see the redness of his cheeks as Marlene pulled him in for a brief side-hug. It put a smile on Jovina's face, and a sad half smile on Theodore's.

"You'll see him in classes, and around school, being in different houses doesn't mean you won't see him at all." she reassured, ruffling his hair, making him groan and fix his hair back in place.
