Chapter 14

*Sasha Pov*

It's been a couple weeks since the ball and i've heard nothing from or about Alejandro which leaves me worried and relieved at the same time.

I was working out like I always do to clear my head.

Just as I was finishing one of my last arm sets one of the assistants walked up to me.

"Sasha your father wants to see you"He said looking down at me on the bench

"Ok tell him i'll be there soon just finishing up"I said pushing the weight away from my face

He nodded and walked away out of the indoor gym.

Just as I finished my last set I was putting the weights away back in the right place.

My phone dinged and it was an unknown number I looked at the screen of my phone and it unlocked showing me the preview of the message.

See you soon.

Was all it said I was very confused but brushed it aside and walked to my fathers office.

I walked in with my gym clothes which was short gym shorts and a sports bra still on not knowing that this was a meeting and there were other high respected members there.

My face started to flush and I looked at my dad who shook his head slowly.

"I'm so sorry I didn't realise there was to be company"I said flashing everyone a small smile

"That's ok just sit down"My father said and I did I took the only empty spot as I sat down the man next to me looked at me and smiled

He looked around the same age as me he then stood up.

He was definitely a lot taller then me then proceeded to take off his jacket.

"Here you go"He said with a smile passing me his jacket then sat back down

"Thank you"I said returning the smile

"Some of there eyes tend to wonder"He said looking down at my body

"Apparently so do yours"I said to which he smirked

"Of course which is why I gave you my jacket so i'll be able to keep my eyes off of you"He said softly then turned back to the table of other people

I sat stunned for a second he was definitely bold for saying that.

"Sasha are you listening"I heard my father say and I snapped out of my trance then turned to face him

"S-Sorry what did you say"I said slipping the jacket on me

"Thank you Mateo"My father said looking at the man next to me to which he nodded his head

"As I was saying Sasha you will be going on a new mission"My father said slight irritation in his tone as he looked at me I nodded and he continued

"You will be going to Brazil and attending the Rio De Janeiro carnival and you are to pose on one of them floats to assassinate Diego Costa"My father said placing a photo of him on the table and sliding it over to me

I picked it up examining it and my father continued to speak.

"Mateo will be going with you as a body guard his sole purpose is to protect you get you safely from here to there and there back to here"My father said as Mateo continued to nod

"You will be leaving on the 7th of February the first day of the carnival is the 9th you will complete your mission from the 9th to the 14th then return home on the 15th"My father said looking between the two of us

"Wait that only give me two days to make sure I have everything I need"I questioned and my father nodded

Yes I move around a lot but I never do it within two days.

"So you are excused you may start to pack your things now and be ready by 6:45am on the 7th"My father concluded and I stood up and walked out starting to pack my bag

It's always easy to leave cause i'm always leaving with the only people who actually know me.

But now this is different i'm leaving with not only a total stranger but i'm also leaving to kill someone without knowing if i'll actually make it back.

I can't show this fear to my parents i've always wanted to be apart of this life and if I show for one second that i'm scared or not ready my parents will pull the whole thing and i'll never get another chance.

So I packed my shit into two suitcases for the next week and sent them to my private plane cause if I go to a normal airport I won't be able to go with everything in those suitcases.

I was getting ready for bed when I heard a knock on my door and I said come in expecting my Mum and Dad to walk through that door I walked out in short shorts and a bra.

"Oh i'm sorry you said come in so I came straight in"Mateo said turning around and I chuckled at how nervous he was considering he was so bold today at the meeting

"Its ok Mateo we are going to Brazil together for a week you'll probably see this a lot"I said and he turned around looking me up and down before I put a shirt on

"Yes I came to speak to you about that"Mateo said stepping more into my room

"Sure what's up?"I asked him sitting on the edge of my bed

"Your father is going to place us in the same room so we don't draw so much attention going between two rooms is that ok with you?"Mateo asked me stepping closer to me with every word

I've never shared a room before let alone with the other gender.

"Sure is that ok with you"I asked him to which he smirked looking down at me on my bed from only a few feet away

"Of course I suggested we share the one room no need to draw anymore attention plus you'll be in my room most of the time anyway"He said stepping away from me as he was going to leave

"Wait what do you mean"I asked as he met the door he shrugged and walked out

Mateo was a very handsome man but it would be dangerous for a bodyguard to get involved with me.

Especially if his feelings effect the way he protects me for example if we got together then had a really messy break up then got attacked and he didn't defend me.

Mateo could be tortured and skinned from his mafia marks then god knows what my family would do to him.

Then there's me i'm always meant to represent my mafia in a high respectable manner and going out in public with my bodyguard as a boyfriend is not doing that.

So in every way me and Mateo can not happen but who knows what will happen for a week alone in Brazil.
