[Author's note: This story is a request from Forced-On-here. Basically, what would happen if Kevin and Streber switched places. I hope ya'll somehow enjoy it, my requests are open! ⚠️TW: Slight descriptions of gore⚠️] (I reccomend listening to either Alien Blues and Race *by Alex G* or Big Juicy and In My Mouth, depends on how seriously you wanna take this. I went with the 2nd option lol)
That night the streets were full of children and adults in costumes that went trick or treating, eating candy and having fun. But one man in particular stood out. He had a very unsettling vibe around him, the red costume with small horns at the top of his head was bigger than basically any other costume out there. His smile was wide and unnaturally bright, his eyes seemed to never blink, making the man look even scarier. The wind blew calmly as he crossed multiple streets, looking for a vulnerable, alone target. Sounds easy, but in reality, it is harder than everyone thinks. Halloween is one of the worst nights to murder someone. Not because of some stupid legends or myths, that would make no sense. A whole lot of people are out on the streets, making it difficult to find someone who is all alone. And no responsible parent would let their child go out at night without anyone around, meaning all children are in groups or are supervised by adults. The few options left are down to late night workers and older teenagers who thinks they are too "cool" for anything halloween related. The man doubted his luck and started getting frustrated when after about 2 hours of following different groups and walking around town he still hasn't found any possible victim. The tired man almost gave up, his face going serious as went past a park and noticed a haunted house with a young man standing on the front porch. Another wide smile appeared under his mask. He found a perfect target. It took a second or two for Velseb to creep up behind the boy. He was significantely shorter and he didn't look too heavy, making it easy to drag his body back to the shop. Finaly, Bob Velseb had succeed and the next day, there will be much more fresh meat in his store. But then the boy turned his head and looked at him with a wide smile on his face.
-"Hello, Sir. How may i help you tonight?"- the boy asked, his vampire cape moving around as the wind blew lightly. That voice seems oddly familiar for some reason...
-"Oh, I..."- Bob hesitated. He cleched the knife hidden behind his back in his hand. Now was the chance. There was no camera installed and nobody was around. It was silent, no one would ever find out, he would get rid of the evidence perfectly, just like he's been doing for years at this point. Just one swing. But he couldn't.
-"Sir, are you okay?"- The young man asked with a slightly concerned tone
-"Me? Yes, yes of course. Forgive me, I just... do you possibly have any idea if there are any stores that are still open? It is quite late, and I just ran out of sweets for the kiddos."- Velseb responded quickly. That boy reminds him of someone he must have knew...
-"Oh, of course I do! Actually, there is a Candy Store next street, and from what I know, its open until 1am, so you have about 3 hours left to get some sweets!"- the boy widely smiled at him, showing the fake fangs stuck to his teeth.
-"Thank you, young man. Happy Halloween, or whatever you kids say in those times"- The older man muttered with a smile and turned to walk away. He had a new target.
-"I wish you a happy Halloween too, Sir!"- The boy yelled a little too loud towards Bob. He flinched but waved to the enthusiastic young man in a vampire costume. As he walked away from the house and towards the Candy Shop, he seemed to get lost in his thoughts. The boy from the haunted house looked and sounded to much like his own son, Streber. The two didnt see each other for years, and now maybe it's just Bob's imagination going wild? Or maybe he actually saw his long lost son? Even after everything that has happened, Bob misses his son, and his wife. If only he was a better liar, and he didn't let Streber to the "employees only" part of the shop, maybe he still would have a happy family. Maybe he would have gotten to see his son go to high school, graduate, then go to college. Maybe he would even see his son create a family. Have grandkids and a wife. All of that went to waste because of one accident. Bob shook his head, snapping out of the horrible "what-if" dilema. Ever since he took a closer look at parents talking with their kids, he realized how much he has missed having a happy life like this. But that life was not meant for him. Having a family was just slowing him down and he's better off without them, at least that's what he's repeating to himself. Before Bob could even notice, he stood right in front of the Candy Shop. He looked around and the streets were almost empty. Perfect occasion, it'd be so sad if it went to waste. A young man, about in his early 20s' left throught the back door, throwing out the trash. Nobody would hear or notice anything at all. Bob Velseb smiled and walked slowly towards the trash containers. The young man dropped his nametag and his name turned out to be "Kevin". He was about an inch taller than Bob, which might cause some problems, but at least he seems very light. Kevin picked his nametag up, cussing quietly. Bob placed his hand on the man's shoulder, his grin going wider. Kevin screamed loudly, jolting up and turning around to face Bob.
