Chapter 23 ⚜ Alpha Pact

In Bobby's house, I sit at my vanity table with Liz and Caroline, both of them examining the bruise on my neck from the wire of the garrote. 

Liz smiles "Okay, sweetheart, This is not a problem. Having gotten more than Karren's share of hickeys in high school, We've developed some patented coverup methods."

Rifling through the makeup drawers, Caroline pulls out brushes, powder, and cover-up. I, however, put a hand over hers to stop her "You don't want to go to school? You don't have to." 

Liz looks at me worried.

"It's not that" I look at myself in the mirror, holding my chin up to view the bruise in the light "It's just someone tried to strangle me. And I survived. I don't need to hide that."

"No. No, you don't." Liz kissing me softly on the cheek, looking at me with pride. she kisses Caroline too "Both of the only things left for me" Liz hugs us warmly.

Caroline says "We're still going to do your hair, though, right?" Caroline said

I give them a smile "Of course, we're doing my hair"

Caroline claps "Perfect."

"And honestly, if you don't feel like driving, I'd be happy to take you." Liz smiles and then stands leaving us alone in the room.

Caroline sit on the bed facing me "You hide something"

"Care, I keep you safe and that makes me busy from you"

"Tell and I swear to make it secret"

"You! Common Care you will tell Elena and Bonnie"

"No no, I will not tell anyone" she smiles "And please, Why did you break up with Sam?"

I sigh and start to tell her everything since Peter bit me until today and John told me to break up with Sam.

Caroline widens her eyes "Werewolf?! Scott is a werewolf" she stares at me "It's legends"

"Dad is a hunter, Caroline"

"I thought he is drunk and his book mess his brain" I glare at her "Sorry, I love Bobby"
