Aurelia sighs slightly as she walks next to Chris, leaning on the shopping cart as they walk around the store. "Okay, the store closes in like three hours. We've been here for twenty minutes and we have nothing. Are you sure we have enough time?" Aurelia asks and Chris looks over at her with a brow raised. "Just asking." She says and he hums.

When Chris is grabbing the vegetables Delaney added to the list, Aurelia's phone beeps and she pulls it out of her pocket with a frown, opening up the message from Stiles. "What?" Chris asks when he sees the frown on her face as she reads her messages.

"Uh, Stiles thinks Derek's missing." Aurelia says, typing out a message in response. "Is 'don't get into any trouble until I get back' such a difficult request to follow?" She grumbles under her breath before opening the attachment in the following message.

"Well, you weren't there to supervise them." Chris says and she hums.

"Okay, when we get back, I'll do a locator spell before I buy a ticket. Make sure he is missing and not just ignoring them. And then, I'll buy a ticket back if he is definitely missing." Aurelia says, rubbing her face and he nods. "I've got one of those feelings that Derek's actually gonna be missing and I'm gonna get dragged into something." She says.

"You don't have to go back." He says and she sighs.

"Yeah, I do. It's Derek. I have to go back for Derek. He'd do the same for me." Aurelia says and he hums.

"Why do I get the feeling there was some sort of double meaning there?" Chris asks and she sighs.

"Probably because there was." She says and he nods. "I just- I owe him a lot. I need to make sure he's okay. He's always done the same for me. Always." Aurelia says.

"Okay." He says and she sighs.

Aurelia sighs as she steps into the doorway of Chris' study later that night to see him sitting at his desk. "You know, dealing with Jennifer was actually less frustrating than you are being."

He looks up at her from his computer before rolling his eyes and looking back at the screen. "I actually am working this time." He says.

"How many times are we going to have the 'Oh, I'm working', 'You do know I'm an telepath who knows you're lying, right?' talk?" Aurelia asks and he sighs. "I think I've started saying it in my sleep."

"Okay, you don't have to be quite so dramatic." Chris says and she shrugs gently as she walks over to the desk.

"So, this is your last opportunity to talk to me in person about what's really going because my flight leaves tomorrow afternoon." Aurelia says, pushing herself up to sit on the edge of the desk next to him.

"You know what's going on." He says.

"No, I know you're trying your hardest to hide something from me and you have been for the last couple of weeks." Aurelia retorts, tucking her legs up and crossing them.

"Would you get off my desk?" Chris asks.

"Not until you talk to me." She responds and he sighs, raising a brow at her. "Okay, fine. If you're not gonna talk, I will." She says and he frowns slightly in confusion.
