Picnic

Emily's POV

Today was the day I planned to propose to Ali, I had got Cece and Hanna to take Ali and Lauren shopping for the day while me, Spencer and Aria prepared for tonight.

We walked down the beach by the cliffs, we found a beautiful cave that was quite close to the waters edge with a bit of beach, it was beautiful. I looked from each of the girls, "this place is beautiful, it's perfect" I exclaimed to the girls, "okay let's get this sorted" Spencer said to me.

We all headed back along the beach to the beach house, and we all got into the other car we rented and we headed to the nearest target so we could get the things for tonight.

We walked around the store, I got a tartan blanket for us to sit on, I got a bunch of battery powered fairy lights so we could light the cave up, I got tape so we could attach the fairy lights. I got two plain cushions that we could sit on. I bought a pack of the red plastic cups, for us to put our drinks in, I bought us some wine, burgers, cupcakes, Doritos, and a bunch of snack food for us to eat. I bought us a picnic hamper to put the food in. I also bought us plastic plates but there was no plain ones so I got colourful kiddy plates, "you two are so immature" Spencer said laughing at me, "I know right" I said laughing back at her.

Once we finished shopping and buying all of the things we needed to organise the picnic.

We pulled up at home and we put all of the food away and we left the picnic basket on the kitchen table and we took the blanket and everything else down to the little mini cave.

When we got the cave we laid the blanket out but it was huge, so we folded it over twice and laid it down at the edge of the cave, I put the two cushions on the blanket quiet close to each other but slightly facing each other. Once we organised the blanket and cushions we then took all the fairy lights and then, taped them to the cave, we turned them on but you couldn't see the lights right now but I knew they would be beautiful when it got darker.

After we finished with the fairy lights and everything, we left the cave and went back to the beach house, we made all of the food up and put anything that needed to go back in the fridge back in and the rest we put in the picnic basket.

We were just sitting around waiting for it to get to the time the girls were coming back. I was starting to panic and Spencer could tell that I was worrying, "Em do you wanna go out and do something to calm you down" Spencer asked me softly, "yes please Spence" I replied softly.

Spencer and Aria stood up and Spencer pulled me to my feet, let's go, we all got in the car and we drove too Starbucks to get a drink. We pulled up into the car park and we walked inside, the three of us ordered our drinks and once we collected the drinks we sat down at a table and drank up our drinks and talked about random nonsense to pass the time.

After a few hours we headed back to the beach house, it was getting quite late as we didn't wake up till later on, in the day.

We all packed everything into the picnic basket, and left it on the kitchen table and I went upstairs to get dressed for the picnic. I put on denim shorts, a black vest top and a red, blue and white plaid shirt, my black converse and I got grey hoodie incase it got cold.

I then took the picnic basket and I went along to the cave and it was already starting to get slightly dark so I turned to fairy lights on and put the picnic basket down and it looked beautiful, I smiled to myself and I hoped that Ali would like it.

When I got back to the beach house, I took my phone out and I texted Cece,
