Chapter 5

Sanemi's POV:

I had just finished unpacking into what little space I have in my room. I decided to go down to see if dinner was finished yet or not. I walked down the stairs and looked into a room to see Tomioka writing something. I walked over quietly and read a little bit over his shoulder. "Who's Sabito?" I didn't realize I spoke out loud until he turned around. I stood up a little straighter and back up a little. "That is none of your concern" His face looked really pale and he looked like he was about to start crying. "Whatever" He seemed relieved that I dropped the whole thing. "Anyways why don't you go make a plate and eat dinner is on the counter" He told me as he turned around to continue writing. "When are you eating" It took him a minute to answer "I have already eaten my food" 'Tch lying to me already' "I don't believe you so I'm not eating until I see that you are eating." He sighed but stood up and went to make a plate. 'Good'
I walked over to the counter to make myself a plate or bowl I should say. "What did you even make" I was quite curious as to se what this loner could even cook "Salmon Diakon and some Ohagi for dessert" He mumbled the last part but I still was able to hear it. "And why did you Ohagi it's not like you like it you don't seem like the type of person" 'Did he make it for me? No he couldn't of he doesn't even know I like it' That's when I heard him mumble once again while walking past me "I heard it was your favorite food so I decided to make some" 'He did make it for me? But why would he do that I'm mean to him so much' "Eh whatever I bet it's not even gonna be that good" 'God damnit why did I say that IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT' I finished making my plate and decided to go and sit at the table and eat with him. 'Huh why isn't he eating' "Oi dipshit why aren't you eating" "Huh oh like I told you I already ate so I'm not hungry" He didn't even bother to look up while he was talking "Do you really think I'm that dumb eat your food or I will make you" "fine" he mumbled under his breathe as he began to eat his food. I began to eat when my curiosity came over me again "So who was that Sabito guy you were writing about" He choked on his food and starting coughing as soon as I said the guys name "Huh?" He seemed upset if that was the right word "The sabito guy you were writing about in you private journal" I made sure to emphasize the words private journal hoping to get the point crossed "That is none of your concern once again so please finish your food" He said it as if you was getting mad,but that's impossible because this loner doesn't show emotion "Tomioka just tell me who it is" He stood up without saying anything "Tomioka. Who. Is. He" I knew I sounded pissed but I was and didn't care "That is none of your fucking business Shinzawaga so drop it" 'He yelled at me-' I just sat there with a confused look on my face as he walked to the kitchen to place his bowl down, but I saw that he had tears running down his face. I stood from my seat not bothering with my food and walked over to him. I was right beside him and he didn't even notice 'I wonder what would happen if i-' my thoughts got cut off my Tomioka wrapping his arms around me in a hug and burying his face in my chest still crying. I felt my face softens but at the same time start to get hot, the started to pet his hair to try and calm him down. "S-sorry Shinzawaga I didn't mean to do that" he had stopped crying and backaway with his head turned "It's fine but who is this Sabito guy it's certain someone that is important because just me asking who he is got you crying and we don't see that often at all" I saw his eyes get cloudy and he lowered his head "He was an old friend" "Old friend what happened y'all have a falling out or something if that's what happened you are being overdramatic" I watched as he looked up at me with a look mixed with angry and guilt "I wish it was just that- he died protecting me in final selection" He turned his head away again and began to cry softly 'Shit I messed up here by jumping to conclusions' I walked slowly over to him and hugged him while petting his hair. I started to whisper in his ear "It's going to be okay. It wasn't your fault. It's okay" He only began to cry harder as he clutched onto the back of my haori and put his face in my chest. 'I wonder if that's why he is so distant or maybe there is another reason'

(A/N so how are y'all liking the story so far. Sorry for updating so late I have been caught up in homework and going to school I haven't had much time to write or type I should say.)
