The next month Aura and I spent subjugating and killing Nullifiers without Lena. "Was it always this quiet without her?" Looking over at Aura she sighed scrolling on her phone to try and pass the time when Mintz and the twins walked in. "It's been a month she should be coming out of it by now just give it some time you two." Giving Mintz a small smile I felt hands on my shoulder that gave me a sense of relief. If we hadn't been there with her she would've given into her animalistic nature and forced that man then and there amid battle putting the two of them in danger. "Mintz, have you looked into the other tear in the world I saw that day?" Turning to him and crossing my left leg over my right he nodded tapping on his tablet causing a screen to appear above the table we were at. "It was for a brief moment but a second tear did appear next to the one we pinpointed on the grid. I don't know why but I went back and looked at the other ones and small signatures appeared but none opened. This one might just be a fluke but we can't say for sure, for now, we just have to be on guard." He sighed showing the first tear that was slowly followed by another tear that opened for a split second before closing. "Holy shit did I meet my destined mate?" Hearing a shocked scream from Lena's room we shot off of the chair running to her room happily. As Mintz checked and pressed the button opening the metal panels we sighed in relief seeing Lena standing in the middle of her trashed room happily. Her sheets were ripped and soiled by either sweat or cum and her rust-orange hair tangled and knotted on her head. Her clothes clung to her body with sweat as she happily put in her passcode blissfully unaware of the destruction to her room. "Can I see them? Pretty please!" She smiled stepping out as we all stood in slight disbelief watching her before Mintz, Aura and I hugged her tightly. "Take a shower you smell like old cum and sweat." Aura remarked causing us to laugh and release the happy woman as she nodded running up the stairs leaving us to shake our heads happily. She was always a ray of sunshine so her behavior although disturbing was natural to us. "She's one of a kind." Knox whispered looking at the doorway in shock as his brother nodded unable to say anything. "She's special all right just don't know which kind of special." Aura sighed holding her head with a small smile as I chuckled nodding at her words. We sat around in the living room when Lena walked out for the third time with a bright smile as Aura sniffed her and nodded. "You finally smell like a person now instead of an animal." Standing up I smiled knowing just how special this moment was for her. For me, I was terrified at first but once I met my fated mates again everything felt right. I guess her seeing me in a trial run put her mind at ease, either that or she was just happy to have a mate and feel the bond working in a new way. This time instead of driving we just used a gate to get to the lab as I walked over and opened the sliding panel I saw the man curiously looking around the room. "My name is Karina, can I come in?" He jumped at the sudden noise before happily nodding at me while holding an ornament filled with water and sparkles. Opening the door of the metal panels and putting in the code the airlock system released and the door to the room opened. Walking in I smiled closing the door behind me and turned the desk light on filling the room with a gentle yellow light. "What's this called?" He asked happily sitting on the edge of the bed flipping the ornament upside down and watching the contents inside float to the top. "You know I'm not entirely sure myself. They are just pretty to play with." Laughing softly I sat down next to him watching him flip the ornament over and over again. "You're an omega like me right?" He asked suddenly fixing his gaze on me as I nodded reaching up and revealing my collar. His eyes widened and he leaned toward me examining my collar with curious eyes. "My parents were poor so we couldn't afford a collar for me, what does it feel like?" He asked looking up at me inches from my face causing me to laugh awkwardly and smile down at him. "It feels like nothing on me, but it makes me feel secure out in public knowing my neck is safe." Seeing him nod and lean back he timidly played with the ornament watching the liquid and sparkles move inside. "Why did you come inside here instead of my mate?" Smiling softly I reached over tucking a strand of dirty blond hair behind his ear seeing his beautiful heterochromia eyes. "They figured another omega talking to you would be easier for you after being thrown into an unknown environment." His eyes trailed up looking at me as I gave him a warm smile before holding my hands in front of me. "I have a collar for you as well it's a welcoming gift. It's made out of the strongest metal and the back here is an electric keypad. Put in eight fingerprint patterns that you can use regularly or change up to help you feel a little bit safer around your mate." Handing the cool metal collar to him he timidly bit his lip and put in a passcode. Widening his eyes as the collar opened he smiled softly putting it around his neck and hearing it click before hugging my waist tightly. "My name is Lyhro thank you for the gift, Karina." Hugging him back we stood up and his hand grabbed mine nervously as we walked out.
