I woke up early in the morning and last minute began packing my things when I heard May come around the corner. "Um whatcha doing?" She asked leaning over my shoulders.
"I completely neglected to pack for the camping trip! Lucia wanted us to go camping this weekend with some other people." I quickly stuffed whatever I could think of in my bag and stood up turning around to see May sitting on her bed looking away. "Ok, yea have fun" she said rather absent mindedly.
It occurred to me I never really spent a lot of time with my roommate. "Would you like to come? Because I would like to have you with us" I said genuinely hoping she'd join in. It could be bonding experience.
May looked up surprised "um well, I haven't packed anything" she said strangely enough seeming to get flustered as she played with her hair. "I literally just threw stuff in a bag" I laughed. "Besides Lucia will probably still manage to bring less clothes than you; and Angela always brings extra so I think we'll be fine. Just throw something together and lets go!" May blinked as if lost in her thoughts for a moment before smiling and jumping out of bed.
She quickly threw some things together and off we went to meet up with Angela and Lucia. Angela looked a little too into the camping setup with camo pants, an olive shirt and a camo jacket with some hiking boots on. Meanwhile Lucia was wearing jogging shorts and sports bra with a short sleeve crop top jacket that was opened up.
Considering I was wearing some torn up jeans and a light brown T shirt, while May was wearing black jeans and a gray top it was clear none of us really thought too hard on trying to coordinate. Then again I had long ago given up trying to coordinate outfits with Angela & Lucia, they could never agree on outfits.
"Ready!?" Lucia asked all excited, and I noted she only had a small bag. Meanwhile Angela had a large tent bag she was sitting on and two backpacks full of stuff. "I hope you don't mind if I tag alone" May said speaking softly as if somehow ashamed.
"Nah! I could never complain about another pretty face" Lucia said with a cheeky smile and May blushed slightly. "Besides you can help me carry all of our stuff" Angela piped in with a sincere smile. "See told ya it would be fine" I said and May nodded seeming to appreciate how open we all were to her.
That was one thing Angela & Lucia were on the same page about. Being accepting of others, they always seemed happy to accept new friends. Angela called us an Uber and soon enough we were at the camp site. "I thought you mentioned other people coming" Angela commented to Lucia who simply shrugged.
"Well yea, but not with us. I'll join up with them later to have some fun. First I need to make sure you don't get yourself eaten up by a bear or something" Lucia teased and Angela rolled her eyes. May leaned over as we were walking a bit further back and asked me "are they together?"
I laughed "oh no. Lucia is too wild for Angela and Angela is too calm and modest for Lucia. Also Angela doesn't enjoy nor care for sex and I don't think Lucia could survive without sex. But Angela wouldn't want a partner who sleeps with other people. So that's probably a bit of a deal breaker for both of them. Although personally I do wonder if they might already be too committed to each romantically. Lucia doesn't seem to get too close to other people and Angela seems uninterested in anyone else."
Honestly the two had a weird dynamic in my mind. But if they were happy than I was happy for them. "Well they certainly do bicker like they care a lot" May pointed out and I nodded my head, that was true. My mother used to say that people only argue when they care about the topic or the person, and considering those two could argue about almost any topic, I assumed that meant they cared a lot for each other.
May & I helped Angela get the tent setup, which was rather excessive in size. It looked like it could easily fit ten people, if not more. "Damn that's big enough to house and orgy" Lucia said, her eyes glowing with the possibilities.
