With Hesperia finally named, lets get going!
3rd person POV
Mirabel was just finishing up one of her embroidery projects when she heard Casita's tiles rattling. "What is it?" she asked. And Casita answered with two words that made Mirabel's heart race with excitement.
"It's hatching."
Mirabel was practically racing off of the seat and into the secret room as soon as she heard those words. Casita opened the door for her and soon she was lying down in the nest on her front and watching in wonder as cracks spread across the egg's surface.
"Come on little one, you can do it!" Mirabel whispered.
And then she saw it.
A tiny paw, forcing its way out of the eggshell. Soon, the rest of the body followed. And Mirabel finally got a good look at the creature she'd been preparing to raise. And in her honest opinion...
It was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen.
The pup had black fur with a red streak that went from in front of its eyes and up to its ears, a small black part on the end of its tail and little wings attached to its arms. It looked up at Mirabel with its yellow eyes and chirped.
And Mirabel freaking died of cuteness overload.

Once Mirabel came back to the land of the living, she saw that the nargacuga pup was climbing all over her body. She whispered, "Hey there." The pup looked at her directly immediately and chirped again. "Nice to meet you" Mirabel said in what she hoped was a motherly tone.
The pup crawled up to Mirabel's chest and just fell asleep.
The purr that it let out was clearly one of contentment however. Mirabel patted the top of its head and realised something. "Are you a girl or a boy?" she wondered. She knew there was a way to check, but she didn't want to wake the baby up.
Thankfully, Casita came in with the save. "Its a girl." "Thanks Casita" Mirabel whispered, still trying to be as quiet as possible so as to not wake up the baby. "She needs a name" Casita reminded her. "Yeah, and I think I have the perfect one in mind."
Mirabel smiled as she looked at the small sleeping form of her new friend.
"Hesperia. My evening star."
With Casita giving a noise of approval, Mirabel finally decided to gently move Hesperia off of her and onto the fluffy blue blanket. She laid the sleeping pup down in the centre of the nest and told Casita to keep an eye on her in case she woke up and to tell her immediately if she did.
Mirabel closed the door softly behind her and gathered up a few things she needed before going out of the nursery.
She had some shopping to do.
But what Mirabel didn't know, was that Hesperia's birth had caused something that had been happening with Casita to speed up.
