(The scene opens into a forest pathway heading towards a city, the sounds of birds can be heard from the trees, and the noise of a approaching wagon pulled by a single horse, on the inside of the wagon is a farmer controlling the horse and a young mercenary laying in the hay with a sword by his side.)
"Hey kid, so what business does a guy like you have at City Of Kirkland?"
*The young mercenary slowly opens his eyes and looks up to the farmer.*
"Just some personal business I need to take care of."
*The farmer chuckles and replies*
"There's no need to be so secretive around me I have seen many travellers in my past and also I used to be one myself."
*The young mercenary looks up at the farmer intrigued to hear his story.*
"There I was..."
*Before the farmer begins, a group of 5 bandits shoots an arrow in front of the horse startling it and forcing the wagon to come to a halt. The bandits shouts...*
"If you want to hold on to your life's then leave your belongings here and move along."
*The farmer trembles in fear slowly geting off the cart.*
"C'mon Kid, we don't want no trouble here, just let them take my cart."
*The mercenary lays in the cart unwilling to move.*
"Kid, have you got some sort of death wish, just let them take the cart."
*Once again he remains laying on the hay until a large figure of a lion beast man walks out of the crowd of bandits and to the back of the wagon, the farmer tries to warn the mercenary but is struck with fear.*
"Hey pipsqueak! do you want to die?"
*The beast man screams at the mercenary but once again, the mercenary ignores and continues to try to sleep, infuriated the beast man goes to grab the mercenary but before his razor sharp claw reach him he become blocked by a blunt sword, the mercenary laughs.*
"You know, if that sword wasn't blunt, you would be missing a hand."
*The beast man starts to rage and goes to attack the mercenary again but before even being able to land a hit, the mercenary swiftly dodges the attack and swings the blunt blade to the back of the beast man's head. BAKOOM!. Immediately the beast man bring his hands to his head and turn back to the mercenary to find him laying back into the hay.*
"You little Runt, I'll kill you, come on you guys, you not being paid for just standing around, kill him!"
*The bandits run to the wagon, unsheathing their swords and surrounding him. The bandit's then lung towards the mercenary wielding their swords. The mercenary then slowly stands up and sighs, the bandits then swing their swords towards the mercenary who narrowly evades the attack and then leaps out of the wagon towards the beast man. While the mercenary approaches the beast man he becomes weary and starts to sweat. Then shouts..*
"What are you guys doing?! I told you to kill him!. Kill him now!"
*The bandits quickly turn and charge again towards the mercenary. The mercenary then blocks, weaving the bandits swords together, leaving the bandits temporarily incapacitated, he looks back to the beast man cowering in fear on the floor.*
*Takes in a deep breathes.*
"Those are some nice swords you have there, I'm sure you wouldn't mind giving some to me?"
*The beast man looks at the mercenary with confusion and gets back up and moves to the side of the pathway, remaining in silence, the bandit leave their swords and stand by their sobbing leaders side.*
