She looked at the people surrounding the table, there were ten of them in total. She looked at the two people behind her, she couldn't see them clearly but wondered why she was in the center. The only visible detail was that they had long red hair.

"Now, let's welcome our newest members! Virgo and Pieces!" She looked as a woman with curly pink hair stood up. She had a smile on her face, she looked like a superhero. "Great, their seats have been empty for far too long." Said a man with maroon hair.

She stared at them confused. I'm joining a group? What do they mean by Virgo and Pieces? Do they mean the star constellations? She tried to speak but found she couldn't move her mouth.

She looked down and found she was in an emerald dress, and most concerningly of all, she had claws. What happened to her hands?! Then it suddenly felt like she was being yanked back, and forced out of her body.

And as she was being pulled into the void, she saw the back of the body she was inhabiting. She had long silver hair. "What?" She now had her voice back but, before she could do anything else, she was swallowed by the void around her.

She threw open her eyes, as she gasped for air. Her body instantly became upright. She held her throat as she breathed heavily for a few minutes. "What was that?" She asked as her voice reverberated in her dark room.

She's been having a hard time sleeping lately. Weird visions and nightmares always force her awake far earlier than she usually does. She curled up on her bed, she doesn't know what she should do anymore. She needs to sleep because they have an important exam today, and she can't miss or sleep through it.

She stretched out her body and looked at the clock, 5:30. She flopped back on her bed, she's hoping she'll be able to get a few more hours of sleep. She pulled the covers over her head and started counting sheep.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

BEEP BEEP BEEP

An annoying instant alarm blared out through the slightly dimmed room, the light of the sun peeking through the window. Marinette pulled her hand out of the covers and grabbed her phone. Seven o'clock, she groaned and rolled out of the comfort of her covers. She pouted as stood up slowly, it felt like she only managed to get an hour of sleep after that.

She was beyond tired as she went to take a shower. The blast of cold air immediately snapped her awake and she let out a shriek as she rushed to turn on the hot water. After her shower, she threw on a beige sweater on top of a white button-up shirt and a pink skirt. She slipped on some white flats before walking downstairs.

"Well, well. You're up early today. Is something happening at school today?" Her dad asked while sipping some coffee. She smiled and gave him a hug, "Yeah, we have an exam today."

"I see, Sabine is cooking breakfast today." She sat down beside him, "Ohh. What are you cooking today, Mom?" Her mother turned around with a gentle smile, "Good morning, I'm making wheat noodles."

Her father leaned over and whispered, "She's feeling homesick again." She nodded in understanding, sometimes her mother has her days. She usually combats this by cooking Chinese food for the day. She likes it when her mother cooks, she should ask her to teach her how to cook Chinese food, too.

She snapped out of her thoughts when a bowl was placed in front of her. "Make sure to look through your bookbag before you leave." She nodded as her mother handed her a pair of chopsticks. "Mmm, it's delicious Mom." She said as her mother chided her lightly for talking with food in her mouth.
