Storm watches Bella marking the trees and plants with her blood as they hike up to the top of the mountain. It was finally nearing the battle between the newborns, her aunts verses her family.Storm had a gut feeling that something was going to be off. War world three is about to happen in a few hours and she was worried for everyone who was helping fight for her and Bella's mess. Not only that but her full power was still dormant and she doesn't know if her ancestors were messing with her about being the legacy or there's something actually wrong with her.
She was done with everything at this point.
"You okay?" Edward places his hand on her lower back. Storm pulls her attention away from their siblings and nods her head.
"Yeah." She plasters a smile on her lips. Edward scans her face, knowing that she was lying but didn't wanna force her to tell him.
So, instead he laces their hands together to comfort her as they walk over to their siblings.
"You're not wearing your ring." Alexander says.
Storm snaps her head at Bella and points, "He proposed to you? You proposed to my sister." She narrows her eyes at the boy with a pointed finger. "Does my dad knows? Cause if he doesn't, he's going to kill you...permanently." Edward turns his head to hide his smirk as his brother glares at her.
"Storm." Bella gives her a look, Storm rolls her eyes and grabs Bella's hand.
"Where's the ring? I wanna see it."
Bella slowly pulls her hand away from Storm and glances at Alexander who was already staring at her. "I didn't want to risk losing it."
Storm makes a face, "Bells, that was the most dumbest excuse I ever heard. My ring is on my finger and so should yours." Bella looks down at the snow filled ground.
"She doesn't wanna risk Jacob seeing it." Alexander voices.
Storm narrows her eyes at her sister as Edward squeezes her hand to calm her down. "Isabella. I thought you and Jake already established the boundary of your friendship." Bella flinches at her full name and her tone.
"We did. He knows..." Bella bites her bottom lip as she looks up at her sister, "I just think we should wait to tell him. I don't want him flipping out and overthinking during the battle. I don't want him to get hurt."
Storm eyes the brothers, mentally telling them to give them privacy to talk. They got the hint and walked a few feet away. Storm sighs and steps in front of Bella. "Bells, I don't know how many times I gotta tell you this. But, Jake is a grown man. You told him that there was nothing going to happen between you guys. He needs to get over it and if shoving that ring into his face and letting him know that Alexander is not leaving your life, is the way to get it across. Then so fucking be it." Storm gives her a stern look, Bella sighs.
