Better than the first chapter i think!! enjoy! :)
Matt continued to come in every day, and we spent all my break time together just talking about whatever popped into our heads. I found myself telling him things I hadn’t thought about in years. Every time my break was over, he would give me a kiss on the cheek and I would walk away feeling like I was floating on air.
On Wednesday July 6th he asked me to dinner. I found it a little funny since every time we talked it was in a booth at a restaurant. Of course I agreed in an instant and felt like I was floating on cloud 9.

I have nothing to wear! Frustrated with my wardrobe that I normally was perfectly content in, I now found myself aggravated that I bought the plain yellow t-shirt instead of that silky blue blouse Chloe said brought out my eyes. I settled in a dark blue pair of jeans with a green lace top that hugged my figure nicely. I turned around and let out a sigh as I found the rest of my wardrobe scattered around my room. I wandered into the bathroom and turned on my curling iron. I had naturally nice, loose, curly brown hair, but there were normally some pieces that just didn’t follow the others. Once I was finished I looked at my clock, which was flashing 5:27, I had 33 minutes to take care of the tornado that had passed through my room.
At 5:50 I made my way downstairs, the butterflies soaring inside
my stomach. Katie, my 10-year-old sister, pushed her head out of her room.
“Is he cute?” she promptly asked.
“Go away!”
“Are you going to have sex with him?”
“WHAT!” I turned around and saw her staring with truly curious eyes.
“Sex. You know naked touching,” she paused waiting for a reply but only got my face staring back at her. “ You know a boy part going inside a girl part. I’m 10 I know all about it sheesh I’m not 9!”
“No your not, but I bet mom would ground you if you heard that coming out of your mouth.” I watched the grimace pass across her face as she slowly closed her door. Satisfied with the quickness I had with getting rid of her I once again began my rush down the stairs.
He arrived at 6:07, the perfect time in my books. He wasn’t eager to get it over with by arriving right on time, yet I still mattered enough that he must have taken time to get ready and pick me up relatively close to 6. He took me to a beautiful restaurant overlooking a river. As soon as a saw the prices on the menu I insisted it was too much. Unlike most boys who might let their ego take charge and talk about how rich they were, he kindly told me I looked beautiful and I deserved the best tonight. We talked through the entire meal and at the end he had a delicious dessert brought out for us to share. I was amazed at the fact that there was no point at which our time was filled with a silence, and even as we were leaving the restaurant we were both telling each other more and more about ourselves. This boy, who I knew only for a month and a bit knew probably more about me than any one else. Chloe may have came close but I was sure that we just shared both our memories, not my younger private ones.
I’ll admit, when we got in the car I was sure our date was coming to an end and I was very sad. But then instead of taking the left at Ridge Road to get to my house, he kept on going straight. I looked at him with a look of question, and only got my favorite crooked smile looking back at me. At that moment I knew it was okay wherever we were going, just as long as I got a few more precious hours with him.
