"Okay, I'll text you later. Don't miss me too much."
"Always so cocky. I'll try not to."
I smile. "Bye, Nayeon."
"Bye, you."
I hang up as I open the cafe doors and make my way back to the table. "Hey guys, sorry about that."
"Let me guess, Nayeon again?" Tae asks with a smirk.
I smile and look down, "Yeah. Ahem, now, we ordering coffee or not?"
"Wait wait wait. Is Jungkook...shy? Who the hell is Nayeon?" Jin asks.
I then sigh heavily, "Goddd I wasn't gonna mention her until I can introduce you all to each other-"
"She's Jungkook's girlfriend~"
"What?!"
"No, no," I say, laughing. Feeling, nervous? "She isn't my girlfriend...yet. We're just still getting to know each other. And I really, really like her."
"When are we going to meet her?!" Jin asks excitedly.
"This Saturday at my place."
"Ooooh is that why you're hosting the party?"
"What's up with you guys thinking I'm trying to impress her with a damn party?" I ask with a chuckle.
I look down at the table as I shake my head and hear them slowly change the subject to Jin's relationship with Namjoon.
Then I look around and, hold on...
I see Jimin serving people drinks?
He works here?
Speaking of which, why do I suddenly see him everywhere?
In multiple classes, in the hallways, and now out in public.
If I didn't make an effort to see Taehyung, I'd see Jimin even more than him.
I watch him as he interacts with customers.
He's smiling so sweetly, bowing respectfully, and shyly setting hair behind his ear.
I even smile myself.
Why is it that he can look so sweet? So sweet, soft, and just...nice, all around.
But once he talk he just sounds so, sarcastic and.
Stubborn.
"Jungkook?"
I look over at Jin and hum.
"What are you ordering?"
"Oh. Just a coffee alone. I'm not hungry. We should call a waiter-"
"Jimin! Jimin!" Taehyung loudly calls out, and I face palm, signing heavily. "We came here just for you!"
"Okay, Tae, you can stop shouting now," I whisper, feeling embarrassed as everyone watches us.
Jimin calmly approaches. "Hello guys, how are you?"
"Hi Jimin, we're good and you?" Jin asks sweetly.
I keep my head down as I just listen.
"I'm good, thank you. Now, what can I get all of you?"
"Tae and I will both order hot chocolate and blueberry muffins, because he likes to copy me."
Tae scoffs.
"Mhm, got it. And for you?"
I slowly look up and into Jimin's eyes.
Silently clearing my throat.
He's really pretty. Have I mentioned that before?
"Just an iced coffee please, vanilla."
"Perfect. Is that all?"
"That's all. And we will all be on the same bill, not separately. I'll be up there to pay when done."
"That's nice. Got it. Will be back soon," Is all he says before walking off.
Hmm...
"You always do this, Jungkook. Just let us pay!" Taehyung says, whining.
"I'm personally not complaining. Pay all you want," Jin says, sitting back happily. "Complaining is rude!"
I laugh at them both.
. . .
After the three of us agree that we're ready to head out, since our classes start soon, I quickly walk up to the register to pay.
Tapping the counter gently, waiting.
Then Jimin appears.
"Hi, sorry to keep you waiting."
"No worries. How much will it be?"
"Fifteen. Exactly."
I then squint as I see the numbers appear in front of me. "Wait, no? It's nearly twenty dollars."
Jimin smiles softly. "I wanted to make it cheaper. Though taking only five dollars off isn't much. Here, I'll make it ten."
I chuckle softly as I stare at him in, shock, honestly. "Why? No, I don't mind paying the full. I don't even mind paying thirty. I'm not....broke," I then chuckle nervously, not wanting to come off too cocky either.
Jimin giggles quietly, and I hate that I like the sound of it so much.
"It's a nice thing to do. Now, only ten dollars."
I stare at him in silence for a few seconds before pulling out forty dollars in cash, and setting it in front of him.
"Jungkook-"
"Don't question it. Why are you being so nice for, hm?"
Jimin tilts his head to the side gently, keeping his expressionless face. "You don't think I'm nice?"
"I didn't say that, but....I only think you're a little judgmental."
"Judgmental is a strong word. You don't even know me."
"Yet I know you're stubborn, and hate apologizing."
"How could I hate apologizing if I easily did it yesterday?"
I tongue the inside of my cheek. "There it is."
"There's what?"
"That tone. That unbothered tone you always have."
"Sometimes we just choose what we should let anger us or not. Most things aren't worth being mad about. Like, our little talks."
I stare at him in disbelief. Now his know-it-all side is coming out.
This person is truly, annoying.
I scoff quietly. "Keep the fuckin change, buddy."
I then turn around and walk out, walking right past Taehyung and Jin.
Call me childish. Call me stubborn.
Call me sensitive, for all I care.
But Park Jimin, is just so unlikable.
What do my own friends see in him anyway?
The fact that he's pretty? The fact that he's nice sometimes?
It doesn't seem enough at this point.
Not at all.
