Advisor: "Mr. President! Mr. President!"

President: "What is it (Advisor)?"

Advisor: "Sir, USS Leyte Gulf has vanished from all our radars!:

President: "What? That cannot be possible. Have you checked your systems?"

Advisor: "We have sir, we've triple-checked them. There's nothing wrong with them. We've also contacted our allies in the area, and they all confirm that one moment she was there, the next moment she wasn't!"

President: "Is there any chance that she was sunk?"

Advisor: "That was our initial thought. However, we've already contacted the Russians, Chinese, and Iranians. They all say that they had no involvement."

President: "When was the last time she made contact with us?"

Advisor: "14:20 sir, right as she was supposed to."

President: "Any distress calls after that?"

Advisor: "No sir."

President: "Alright, I'm going to have to think of a statement to make for the public and over 300 families. In the meantime, keep me updated about the situation."

Advisor: "Will do, Mr. President."

In an alternate universe

Leyte: "Ugh my back hurts..."

Leyte: "Wait, how does my back hurt... WAIT I HAVE A BODY??"

<Leyte jumps up and looks around>

<Leyte realizes that she is currently standing on the bow of her own ship>

Leyte: "But how is that possible? I'm a ship! I'm not supposed to have a human body!"

Leyte: "Hm, this might be one of those cliche 'isekai' moments that I heard some of my crew talk about while I was stationed at Yokosuka. Speaking of my crew, I wonder where they are?"

<Leyte gets started making her way through her ship, looking through windows, peeking into rooms, and peering down hallways. However, she couldn't find a single sign of life>

Leyte: "If I have no crew, how am I supposed to function? It's like telling someone to drive a car with no engine! Am I supposed to just like, think about it?"

<As if responding to her thoughts, she feels the engines on her ship beginning to run>

Leyte: "Well I guess that answers my question..."

<She makes her way up to the bridge and CIC to see if any of her sensors have been damaged>

Leyte: "Hm, it seems that only my GPS doesn't function. Everything else functions as it should. I wonder if I can deploy any of my helicopters?"
