QUINN WAS POSITIVE SHE HAD never met a person as dreadful as Dolores Umbridge. Decorated in pink and created for a spectacle she was exactly the type of person Quinn despised.

So, it wasn't exactly long before she found herself in trouble.

Umbridge's presence at Hogwarts meant something, even a blind person could see that. Quinn's classes were usually mundane as Ravenclaws took their studies substantially more serious than the other houses. A group of students so focused on fact didn't clash heads with Dolores as much as Quinn heard the Gryffindor's had. That didn't mean that they didn't have their differences.

Each class they had with her, however, Quinn couldn't help but find Cho Chang's figure a few rows in front of her. She had wondered what the girl made of Umbridge's claims that Harry Potter was causing a ruckus simply for attention and that Voldemort really hadn't made his re-debut. She wondered how it would feel to lose a boyfriend so viciously and have it chalked up to "a horrible accident."

The class had just began their lesson on Dangerous Mythical Creatures of the Water when Cho's hand flew into the air.

Quinn leaned back into her seat, ready to watch the show unfold.

Dolores, who always had an unsettling smile of her face, managed to look positively wrathful at Cho's hand in the air. "Yes Miss Chang?"

"Will this be on the OWLs?"

"Some of it very well might be." Dolores' dead eyed stare bore into the girl as if daring her to say more.

Cho stared back, hardly fazed by the beady-eyes woman in front of her. "Will this be of any use in real life?"

"Dear, why on earth would you need this in real life?"

"What if I'm swimming in a lake and one these things attacks me?"

"Then that would be most unfortunate, especially when considering that these creatures as exceptionally rare."

"Then why aren't we focusing on fighting You-Know-Who?"

Dolores licked her lips, like this was the moment she was waiting for, the moment she had been born for: child abuse and gaslighting.

"Now where are you getting these silly rumors?" Umbridge demanded, any ounce of sportsmanship gone from her voice.

"Harry saw him, he saw him kill Cedric."

"Now dear," Dolores began, "I know you're grieving your boyfriend's death, a most unfortunate accident-"

"Then why are you here?" Quinn had no patience for her feigned diplomacy.

Umbridge eye's lit up at the sight of Quinn, no doubt hearing about the girls temper and wondering when it would make an appearance in her classroom. She probably didn't think it would take until the end of October. Quinn didn't either, but she tries not to plan her angry outburst.

"Pardon me?"

Quinn was angry for Cho, a ridiculous concept considering she hardly knew the girl, but she knew how it felt to have your feelings pushed aside at every chance. Cho deserves to know the truth, not hear some lady dressed like a toddler stand in front of her and play politics.

"You're here for the Ministry, right? Why else would you be here except to push the Ministry's agenda."

A tight lipped smile and Quinn knew she had already gotten herself in trouble. "I'm here on behalf of the Ministry," she said like there was any difference. "I'm simply filling in due to a lack of staffing. Now, you will talk to me after class."
