Chapter 30

Louis pov

He's on our trail now. I thought for sure Liam's plan would work, but here we are. We're gonna have to leave now and go somewhere everyone least expects us to go. I have a plan, but it involves cutting off communication with the others. That's how he's using the other group and I know Rose and Harry are not gonna like it one bit.

I watched as she sat there giggling with Zayn about something they were watching. She thinks she's safe, she should be safe..but she isn't. Which is why we have to leave again.

"Guys," I got their attention. "We have to pack up."

"Again?" Her voice was filled with disappointment and a frown was etched on her face. I know one of her dreams is to travel the world, and now she's doing it, but not able to actually experience it. That has to be the worst thing ever.

"I'm sorry, love." I soothed. "It's not safe here anymore, he didn't follow their trail."

"Well, if he didn't follow their trail," her face showed confusion. "Then what did he follow."

"Us." The way her face fell and a look of fear became evident in her eyes. I didn't have to persuade her further, and she rushed to her room. She doesn't have to be so afraid, I won't let anyone hurt her.

Rose pov

All I want is to be able to go home, and simply enjoy life with Harry. We just into a actual relationship, and now this happens. Why do they have to be vampires? Why am I hopelessly in love with them? A knock at my door interrupted my thoughts.

"Are you okay?" Zayn entered my room as I packed the remainder of my clothes into a bag. "Lou thought you might need some help."

"Not exactly," I sighed, taking a seat on the bed. "I don't know what I'm doing and Louis is driving me crazy." He sat down next to me, and simply nodded his head for me to keep going. Zayn and I have never been close, but he always gives great advice and he's very trustworthy. So, I guess we've grown closer during all this, in a way.

"You know he's just trying to protect you," he assured. "And the only way he knows how is to leave you out of all this."

"I know, it's just frustrating. Especially when I can't seem comprehend any of this," I blurted out all my thoughts. "Why is the whole universe against us?"

"Wouldn't we like to know," he gave a soft laugh. "We don't know everything. In fact, we can't know everything. Things just happen, but I can assure you, they happen for a reason."

"So there's a reason to all of this?" I raised my eyebrow at him. He has got to be mad. "I'd like to know the answer to this one."

"Some things are better left a mystery." He put the last of my things in the bag for me and we headed out. How did he become so wise?

Incoming call from Harreh<3

"Harry?" I quickly answered my phone. I need to hear his voice.

"Rose, are you okay?" His words were rushed and he seemed breathless. Only, they don't run out of breath.

"Yeah, Lou's making us leave." I replied quickly as I got into the car.

"Thank goodness," he muttered. "I wish I could kiss you.."

"I-I wish you could too." I stumbled on my words, shocked at his sudden bluntness.

"I love you so much, but I have to go." He got quiet as he spoke, something's up. Your whole situations messed up, Rose. You can't expect any less.

"I love you too." And with that the line went dead.

"What's he say?" Lou asked from the front seat.

"He, uh," I debated on telling him everything, but decided against it. "Just wanted to make sure we're alright." I could tell Zayn was suppressing a smile, but I acted like I didn't see him.

"Lou," I whined a bit. "Where are we going now?"

"Don't worry, just trust me." He smiled at me through the mirror. Why can't he just tell me?

"I do trust you," I smiled back. "But that doesn't stop me from wanting to know."

"It's probably best if you don't know." Zayn added into the conversation.

"Why?"

"Well," Zayn started. "What if Everett is able to communicate with you? He's done it before with your nightmare. We just weren't aware if it before now."

"He has a point, love." Lou added, and I just sank back in my seat in defeat. If they're not going to tell me, I might as well try to sleep. It seemed impossible to get any sleep these days, especially with Harry gone. I thought maybe if I heard his voice, but oddly enough, that phone call didn't help at all.
