TODAY WAS THE DAY of the Rod Wave Elite's first game of the summer. Violet had no choice but to show up for her cousin , Nelson Nuemann. Violet usually wouldn't have a problem showing up to support her cousin , but this time things are different. The young girl just got out of her relationship. It's been a couple weeks since her relationship ended but it has still taken a tole on violet. As she was getting ready to go to the game her cousin texts her.

Violet shuts off her phone and puts it in her back pocket as she makes her way downstairs. She see's may and her mother in the kitchen. She makes her way over there hugging may, may is violet's family friend who comes down to town for the summer. The two girls grew up with each other and have seen each other through it all, quite literally. Despite their age gap the two girls understood each other.

"Vee i heard Nelson's like super hot friend is gonna be there" May say's.

"Who's this super hot friend" Violet says making her way to May's phone to see a picture of the boy.

"His name is Jake west or something, i dont know js know hes supa cute" May says with a giggle

"Maybe we'll see him" Violet says kinda intrigued to meet this Jake West boy. She can't lie, he was good looking, very good looking. She knew that Nelson's teammates were good looking but she never knew of this Jake West, none the less heard Nelson speak of him.

The three girls walk out the house and get in the car. Violets mom driving of course, Violet in the passenger seat and May in the backseat's. The game starts at 4:30 and Violet didn't live that far from where the game was being held at. It was around 4:10 and they were nearly there.

"So vi-vi aren't you excited to be out the house again?" Violets mom ask's.

"Uh i guess" Violet says scrolling on her phone. Since Violet's break up with her boyfriend she didn't leave the house much.

"Vi-vi you haven't left the house much since you and Alex broke up, and of course i get that but you need to have a better mindset to things." Violet's mom says. "And who knows, you might find a cute boy at the game vi" her mom continues.

"Yeah, your right mom, ill try having a better mindset, it's just hard but I'll try" Violet says looking at her mom with a light smile.

"Thats all i ask for mama" Violet mom says as she pulls up to the front of where the game was being held so the girls can go inside.

Violet and May get out the car and wave goodbye to Violets mom. The two girls walk hand in hand to the game. At first it was packed, like really packed. Violet was so glad her cousin was borderline famous that they got front row seats. Violet shows one of the workers her tickets and he lets the girls pass.
