IT WAS A COUPLE days since Jake and Violet hung out. The two have been on calls nonstop, texting each other throughout the entire day, fallen asleep on the phone. Things like a couple would do. Violet didn't want to put a name on what they were. She knew deep down that the things that they were doing were named "couple things". She deep down didn't know where to go with Jake. There is obviously something there but she's scared to get hurt again.
Ever since her last relationship, Violet found herself in a constant battle with her thoughts and emotions, especially when it came to Jake. The scars from her past were still fresh, a reminder of the pain she had endured. The memory of opening herself up, only to be hurt, haunted her like a shadow. With Jake, everything felt different. He was kind, attentive, and genuinely cared for her. Although she knew Jake was different she still questioned a lot of things. She's been trying to not let her overthinking take over.
To calm her down she thought it was a good idea to text Jake.

Violet starts getting ready to go over the Jakes house but first she texts May.

Violet grabs some clothes that were thrown on her floor and put them in her bag for later that day when she needed to change. She grab's her perfume and sprays it all over. She leaves her room in a crop too and some jorts. She grabs her keys and walks downstairs. With excitement for today Violet rushes out her house to go pick up may. Violet began driving and she was at May's in under 10 minutes. She honks the horn twice and May was out the door. May gets in the car while on the phone with someone.
"Nelson Vi literally just picked me up can you relax" May say's shaking her head
Violet laughs at the fact she was on the phone with Nelson.
"Put him on speaker" Violet say's.
"May im not even joking get over here" Nelson say's.
"We're already driving there blondie" Violet say's.
"JAKE YOUR GIRL IS ON THE PHONE" Nelson yells through the phone. "Violet?" Jake says.
"hi jake" Violet says giggling.
"can you hurry up nelson been complaining for like 15 minutes" Jake says.
"No i haven't, hes lying bro" Nelson says.
"Alright bye guys" May say's hanging up.
The rest of the ride was just Violet and May talking about the boy's. Singing to song's, basically the usual. The girls arrive about 10 minutes later. Pulling into the driveway the boy's were already outside playing basketball. May was the first to get out the car and Nelson was the first to run over to her. It didn't go unnoticed the way Nelson hugged May. It was cute, Violet wished one of them would just ask each other out. Then it was Violet's turn to get out the car. She saw Jake playing basketball still but when she called out to him he turned around with a smile planted on his face.
He jogs over to Violet and drops the basketball to embrace the girl in tight hug. He wrapped his arms around the girls waist and she wrapped her arms around his neck. What felt like forever the two pulled away from each other. Violet's heart was beating rapidly and she had this sensation in her stomach. She knew what this feeling was and she couldn't help but enjoy it. She enjoyed every second of it.
