Elena slipped into the passenger seat of Marcus's car, a triumphant smile playing on her lips. She pulled out her phone and tapped on the screen to reveal the photos she had taken from the file she found in Pablo's study. Marcus glanced at her with curiosity, his eyes widening as he saw the images.

"Hey there, detective," Marcus greeted, his voice laced with anticipation.

Elena grinned, her excitement palpable. "You won't believe what I found in there."

As she showed Marcus the photos, he leaned in closer to get a better look. His eyes scanned the screen as Elena explained the significance of the documents.

"So, this is the contract between the auction hosts and Pablo," she began, her voice a mixture of satisfaction and eagerness. "It outlines the clauses, and here, look at this. Pablo's signature right at the bottom."

Marcus's eyebrows shot up as he absorbed the contents of the contract. "Well, well, well, looks like our charming art lover isn't so innocent after all."

Elena nodded, her satisfaction evident. "And that's not all. Take a look at this second signature." She zoomed in on the signature besides Pablo's, revealing the name "Salvatore."

Marcus's eyes widened, his gaze locking onto the name. "Salvatore? Who is that? ."

"Exactly," Elena agreed. "Never heard of it." She said with furrowed brows.

Marcus leaned back in his seat, a thoughtful expression on his face. "This adds a new layer to the case. It's no longer just about tracking stolen art-it's also about this 'Salvatore' family."

Elena nodded, her excitement mingling with determination. "And we're one step closer to exposing them."

Marcus grinned, his eyes alight with a mixture of pride and anticipation. "You know, Novak, I gotta say, you're one hell of a detective."

Elena chuckled, a hint of playful arrogance in her tone. "Well, Hayes, I've got the brains, and you've got the doughnuts."

"Touché," Marcus replied, flashing a lopsided grin. "But hey, now that we've got this intel, what's our next move?"

Elena's smile turned into a thoughtful expression. "We need to figure out what exactly this Salvatore family is up to, why they're stealing these artworks."

Marcus nodded, his determination matching hers. "Time to dig deeper and connect the dots. Let's get back to the precinct and see what else we can uncover."

With a shared nod, Elena and Marcus started the car and pulled away from the curb. The evidence they had uncovered was a crucial breakthrough in their investigation, leading them down a path that would reveal the intricate web of deception and intrigue woven by the coalition. As they headed back to the precinct, their minds buzzed with anticipation for the challenges and revelations that awaited them in their pursuit of justice.

Nico stood before the expansive glass wall in his office, the soft glow of the city lights reflecting in his eyes. Between his fingers, a cigarette burned, the tendrils of smoke curling upward like a ghostly dance. The door to his office clicked as it swung open, and he took another drag, exhaling the smoke with a practiced nonchalance.
