The sun shines brightly as students move about the courtyard, their voices filling the air. Robert stands alone, lost in his thoughts, when Rex approaches him with a determined expression.
REX
(softly)
Robert, can we talk? I need to apologize for my past actions. And to apologize for Jessica almost raping you.
Robert looks at Rex, surprise and curiosity in his eyes. He nods, inviting Rex to speak.
ROBERT
(sincerely)
Of course, Rex. I'm willing to listen.
Rex drops to his knees, his voice filled with remorse.
REX
(apologetically)
I'm truly sorry for the way I treated you in the past. I bullied you, and I can't express how much regret I feel for my actions. I was wrong, and I want to make amends. And I am truly sorry that Jessica raped you!
Robert's expression softens, and he extends a hand to help Rex up.
ROBERT
(forgivingly)
Rex, I appreciate your apology. It takes courage to admit your mistakes and seek forgiveness. I accept your apology, and I believe in second chances.
Rex stands up, gratitude and relief washing over his face.

(gratefully)
