Senior year, the last year I'll ever be in highschool. My friends already started exploring options for their careers and here I am debating over what I wanted to pursue. Shuai plans to learn business mainly because he's going to take over his family business. Rain is already discussing plans to take up Political Science or Development Studies with his family. It's so weird to suddenly see him talk so much, and know so much about issues and politics but it's kind of expected of him. He started working part-time in a nearby bookstore/library. It helped him grow his knowledge and be surrounded with something he was already interested in and familiar with. It makes me proud of him for some reason.

Anyways, we're walking to the bookstore since we were planning to treat him for dinner. As Zuo Hang opened the door of the store the bell instantly rang, signifying that we were here. Rain looked up at us from the book he was reading. "What took you guys so long? Let me grab my things, you can sit here for the meantime." He told us as he got up from his seat to put back the book he was reading and grab his things.

As they sat down and continued on chatting I was roaming around the place. Out of all of us I was the most familiar with it. Surprisingly I was often here, maybe even more than Rain. I turned to a corner and before I could continue on I hid behind the shelf. I saw her, she was trying to put a book back to the top shelf but she was struggling to. "Need some help shortie?" I said as I leaned on the shelf she was fixing. "Stop calling me shortie, just because I am doesn't mean it's my whole personality. I have a name you know." She told me, obviously annoyed at how I always tease her. I just chuckled while she handed me the book and I took it as my queue to put it where she wanted it to be. Then I went back to our table.

"Why are you guys smirking at me? I just looked around." I wandered out of curiosity. "Looked around or looked for you-know-who?" Rain said as he came back to us holding all of his things and everyone else was just laughing. I took a seat and pretended to want to hit him with it. She got that nickname because the first time we saw her she was reading a Harry Potter book and just like Rain she barely even bothered to look back at us when we tried talking to her.

Back to our discussion, the boys think I have some kind of thing for her when I don't. I just like teasing and talking to her. I once went shopping around the market and I barely knew where to look, she "took me in" and gave me tips and eventually we grew closer. She is the only person I talk to regarding my plans in life, for some reason I'm able to be vulnerable with her. She's kind, understanding, and honestly pretty, I admire her but not in the sense of having feelings for her. What they don't know is that she has a boyfriend. So of course I keep my distance, he already blamed me once for thinking that I liked her and I was interested in her when obviously I wasn't.

Weeks passed by and we were preparing for a small get-away after our tests. We were sitting on the nearest table to the cashier where Rain sat so he could hear and join in the discussion without leaving whatever he had to work on.

"What are you guys doing?? Can you move your discussion somewhere else? It's a busy day, you're taking up space. Just come back later." She told us, pointing to the door. "Ok fine shortie, let's go boys." We stood up and immediately left. I could see it in her face that she still hated the nickname and all I could do was laugh at her outside the window. She saw me and proceeded to make threatening acts. Rain had to pull her arm since a customer was asking for something, which made me laugh even more. I then proceeded to stick out my tongue and continue making fun of her. "Let's go, we have to finish planning. Stop flirting now." Shuai pulled me aside as we all went to a cafe. "What do you mean? I'm not flirting with anyone." I defended myself. "Yea..sure you aren't." Junhao said, laughing at me.
