Antonio x Bassanio
Act 1 scene 2
A\N: this one is kinda short because this scene in the book is kinda just there and isn't really useful for my storyline
——————————————————————————————————————————-
Setting: Belmont in Portia's house enters Portia with her waiting woman Nerissa.

Portia is complaining and saying her life is hard because she can't choose the man she has to marry
Nerissa says her father was just looking out for her and wanted the right man to marry her.

Portia and Nerissa start discussing Portia's different love interests but none of them catch Portia's eye.
Some are too crazy, too self-centered, or too rude

Portia  complains saying she would rather live a life of chastity than marry any of these men. They start talking about Bassanio and how they both shared a few seconds of eye contact before they both agree he's a wealthy and handsome man and is worthy enough to marry Portia.

Suddenly a servant comes in and announces the prince of Morocco is here to see Portia but Portia just wants him to go away too

A/N: short but sweet I wasn't going to get into all the different suitors and why Portia doesn't like them
