Corvin and Alastor walked up to the new body that lay on the ground, this time together and at the same time. A white sheet covered this one since it was found in the early mornings of the day. Primrose Hill was in shock but they really shouldn't have been, it was inevitable that it was gonna happen, Corvin thought, a serial killer doesn't usually just stop unless no one finds them and they grow old and useless.
Corvin crouched down to the body, he grabbed the white sheet with his black leather gloves and pulled it away slightly to look at the wounds on the body and the face of the victim. Another knife mark, but this time her throat was looking gruesome, it was cut from ear to ear. He deeply sighed and then looked back up at Alastor to make sure he saw. Alastor nodded, and Corvin dropped the sheet.
"Looks like the murderer found another style to go with," Alastor breathed out and swallowed slightly before regaining himself.
Corvin nodded. Corvin had always been the silent type but that worsened when he was investigating a case, he usually only gave one worded answers or none at all then a head shake and a nod. He couldn't participate in chatter when he was thinking and using his eyes to look for evidence and information.
"It's almost like they are seeing how many styles they can use and then perfect and use on a victim. Right now it looks like the knife is the main weapon that they use, if the knife is a suspected match with the others then we can assume the worse of the situation. It's almost like this is a game to this person," Alastor cringed slightly at the griminess of the situation but watched as Corvin made no facial recognition of feeling, or presented displays of nervousness just unbothered thinking.
Alastor wished he was like that. Could switch off his emotions to deal with cases like Corvin could, pretending that he didn't feel for the situation. He felt too much and often got disgusted or bothered when seeing victims and thinking of what happened to these people. Corvin didn't, Alastor didn't know if out of the situation he felt for the victim or not at all, but Corvin could switch the empathy and emotion switch off and then use the most logic in the situation. Something Alastor couldn't do since sometimes he let emotion control his thought process, which is something he was trained not to do.
Corvin suddenly sprang from the crouched position, Alastor got startled and jumped back slightly as if someone was going to hit him. Corvin walked over to the side of the house that the body was set across and then looked up from the window down to the ground and up again. He then touched the wall with his leather gloves and then looked at it close to his eyes. Alastor had no clue what he was doing.
Alastor cleared his throat, "What are you doing? Do you have something?"
Corvin looked at Alastor with a serious expression on his face then kinda scared Alastor slightly, he always had,
"There," he said while pointing towards a window, "the body was thrown from this window after the murder."
Alastor widened his eyes significantly, "how do you know that?"
"There's blood on the wall and on the windowsill there, that could possibly mean that the murderer pitched the body out of the window, done here. Maybe wanted people to know that the murder happened, or maybe the person fell after the murder, any of this is a possibility."
Alastor nodded his head slightly in thought and in wonder at Corvin's mind, "I'll get the authorities to get access to that house."
