Damn.. today was terrible. School used to be really fun back then. Turned 19 and now, school is just so stressful. I hate how my grades dropped drastically just a few months ago but I'm glad I could finally get my academic life together again. I topped my class in the previous exam. I gotta score even better for the upcoming midterms.
"Minsoo! Look! It's your man" Ryujin said loudly. I flinched but looked at the side she was pointing and it was Jaemin, my crush. I've been crushing on him since middle school. We have always been friends but my love for him.... it's all one sided. I don't think he ever had feelings for me. Maybe he just sees me as a friend and nothing more.
"Don't shout like that! He isn't man anyway..." I said in a low tone. Few seconds later, he started waving at me but I didn't notice it as I was admiring his beauty. Ryujin elbowed me and I got back to my senses. I waved back at him with a smile and he started walking towards us.
"Hey ladies! What class do you guys have next?" He asked.
"Math" me and ryujin said in unison.
"What about you?" I asked.
"Me? I have to practice for the basketball match."
"Wait... you guys have a match ? When?" Ryujin asked. Ryujin has always been into basketball but couldn't continue learning it as she started going to the dance club and the music club. She has gotten busy with them that she couldn't continue basketball. Despite that, she still watches matches in the school and also on tv. She adores basketball so much. Unlike me, both Ryujin and Jaemin are athletic and can play multiple musical instruments. I'm the type of girl that likes sports but is too lazy to learn them. I went to ballet when I was younger but eventually quit. The only thing I'm good at, other than academics, is playing piano. I'm proud of it tho.
"We have a match tomorrow with the A-2 guys"
A-2 section guys. Most irritable people in the campus.
"Oh really? Hey, they got Hyunjin, right? Yeji didn't tell me they have a match with you guys tho" Ryujin says with a confused face.
Hwang Hyunjin. My very own enemy and the most irritating person I've ever met.
I have known him ever since we were 7. Never missed a chance to make me cry when I was younger. Stole my toys and homework. Tore my textbooks. Pulled my hair. Prank me every fucking day. Put toy lizards in my bag. Told my mom I had a boyfriend even though when I didn't. Hid my favourite things. All these happened just because he was a neighbor and my mom adored him. I hated him and I still do.
Even though we are adults now, he won't stop teasing me about the littlest things.
"I guess Yeji doesn't know it is us who are competing with them. Hyunjin doesn't tell much about these matches to her anyway" Jaemin said.
Yeji and Hyunjin are twins. They look the same yet think so different. They are very close but sometimes, Hyunjin kinda seems secretive. They are like a popular sibling duos you see on Netflix shows.

"Okay ladies! I'll see you later then. Bye" he said and left.
