the next day, they were all hanging out again. unfortunately, cami couldn't come today either because she was locking herself in her room recording and writing a bunch of songs.

they all shit talked for a while about everyone and everything then they all scattered around the triplets's house.

ani and liyah rarely ever stayed at their own house. it wasn't that her mom was a bad person; it was that she was physically fucking everywhere but emotionally nowhere. the twins started getting uncomfortable with their mom walking around delusionally talking to their dad. that's when they suspected she had a drinking problem. they didn't want to face it, so they stopped seeing her altogether.

it was 5:30 and liyah was sitting on the kitchen island. other than matt's room, it was the coldest place in the house, and she wasn't about to go into matt's room. not when she was trying to forget he existed.

"liyah!" chris ran up the stairs.  "as your older brother figure-"

"you're younger than me, but go on." she rolled her eyes sarcastically.

"blah blah." he mocked jokingly. "as your brother figure, i want to take you out to dinner."

"what for?" she asked. she's been paying for chris her entire life, why is he taking her out to dinner?

"you've never seen siblings go out together for a cute little dinner?" he asked, putting a sassy hand on his hip.

"i do it with ani all the time." she shrugged.

"okay so why are you acting all surprised?" he asked. "when do you wanna leave?"

she checked her phone to see the time 5:38.

"like an hour and twenty minutes?"

"okay so an hour and... forty minutes." he converted real time to liyah time.

"whatever you know what i mean!"

even though it was summer, it gets a bit windy at night, so liyah ran back home to find something to wear. she settled on a matching jumper and sweatpants. she put her hair into two ponytails and took out two strands of her hair at the front. she got her black prada handbag her dad sent her as a present on her 16th birthday. she did her makeup nice and simple since she didn't feel like going all out.
