"I love you." Avery whispers in her ear. Savannah sits up with a huge smile on her face.
"What did you just say?" She asks, looking at her girlfriend, her long brown hair pulled back into a lazy ponytail, her green eyes glowing with certainty.
"I love you." She repeats, sitting up and caressing Savannah's cheek. Savannah laughs and hugs her around her waist, pulling her back on the bed.
"I love you too!" She gasps out between laughs. Avery giggles and kisses her, grabbing both of her cheeks in her hands. This is a moment shared between the two girls and no one else. Or, at least they thought so.

The day after, everything went downhill.
"Did you see-?"
"Yes, I can't believe how-"
"I think they're cute together, but-"
The whispers continued as Avery and Savannah walked to class, every now and then glancing at each other. After their first class though, the glances were one sided. Avery avoided her completely.
She caught up with one of her friends in the hallway, she pulled her away from her other friends and started talking.
"Daisy what the hell is going on? Why are me and Avery getting stares in the hallway? What are people whispering about?" She whisper shouts. Daisy glances back towards her friends and sighs.
"This happened, Annah." She said and pulled out her phone. As Savannah watches the video, her stomach drops. Someone recorded last nights events. There's Avery, saying 'I love you'. There's Savannah, sitting up and laughing. There's the two of them, kissing and hugging each other like nothing else matters. But everything else DOES matter. Because Avery wasn't ready to come out yet. This wasn't how this was supposed to go. She practically shoves Daisy out of the way to find Avery.
She runs through the whole campus to find her and when she does, she's sitting with her friends, laughing. But surely she's seen the video, right? That's why she was avoiding Savannah in the first place.
"Hey Avery." She says as she walks over, catching her breath. Averys friends stare at her with a look of disgust in their faces. Then they turn to Avery.
"What the hell is she doing here, Av?" The one closest to Avery questions. "I thought you said you were done with her." Savannah's lips part and she looks at Avery, who keeps looking back and forth between her friends and Savannah. Then her face hardens and she turns to look straight at Savannah.
"I am. Savannah, I'm not a lesbian. I never actually liked you. I was just playing with your feelings for fun." She takes a pause to smile. "And it was oh so fun. I had you wrapped around my pinky finger." She smirks and looks Savannah straight into her eyes. Her eyes start to water and as the first tear falls, Averys smile wavers, for just a second.
"What the hell, Avery?" Savannah whispers. "I thought you loved me." She breaks the eye contact after a moments hesitation. One of Averys friends laugh and her head snaps towards her.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP." She says and she storms away. She didn't stop until she was back in her dorm, under her covers, crying her eyes out. How could someone who loved her do this to her? It just wasn't fair.

When Savannah finally came out from under the covers, it was 8:30 at night. She needed food and water, and she had none of those in her dorm. She groaned as she sat up and pulled the covers off of her lap.
As she shuffled around, grabbing her things, she thought about her situation with Avery. Surely if everything will work out, something will happen soon. She made sure she locked her door before heading out to go to the store.
She was walking down the sidewalk when she heard a creak in the woods next to her.
"H-Hello?" Savannah called. She caught a glimpse of a blue floral dress in a small gap in the trees branches.
"I know someones there, if that's you Avery, I don't want to talk to you right now!" she yelled at the figure. The dress moved as it's owner started to walk towards Savannah. The girl that stumbled out of the woods is the last person Savannah would have expected.
It was the crown princess herself.
"Princess Vivian?" She whispered to the girl.
"H-Hi..." Was all she managed to rasp out before she collapsed into Savannah's arms.
