"I fucking hate this place," Ana mumbled to herself as she got off her bike, taking her helmet off before shaking her hair out.

She was currently standing outside of Riverdale High, waiting for Jughead to come out so she could take him to Southside High for his first day.

Jughead had asked her to meet him here, which she wanted to refuse to do, but she knew he was nervous about his first day, so she didn't mind as much.

She pulled her phone out of her pocket, texting Jughead that she had arrived.

A lot of the students gave her dirty looks, which she gladly returned. The freshmen scurried past her when they caught sight of her jacket, making a smirk play on her lips.

It amused her how much power a simple jacket could hold.

Jughead soon rushed out of the building, with Betty, Veronica and Archie trailing behind him. She leaned back onto her bike with her helmet clutched in her hands while she waited for them to walk up to her.

"Hey." Jughead hugged her quickly, before turning to say goodbye to his friends.

"Hey, girl." Ana gave Veronica a smile, her dimples poking out of her cheek before nodding at Archie and Betty in greeting. "Hi, Ronnie." Veronica smiled widely at the nickname, giving the blonde a side hug.

They'd spent the weekend texting and getting to know each other. Ana got to understand that Veronica might've had the money and the clothes to be a Northsider. But her attitude and the way she carried herself made Ana think they were more alike than she'd thought.

"Is this your bike? It's beautiful." Veronica admired the motorcycle, running her hand across it carefully.

Ana's bike was her prized possession. It was expensive, which shocked Veronica if she was honest. She wasn't being rude about it, but it wasn't the type of bike she expected the blonde to have.

She saw Serpents driving their bikes around town, and they were all cheap ones made from scraps. But Ana's bike? This was expensive and beautiful.

"Yeah, you can thank my mom for leaving me a hefty penny when she died." Ana tried to joke, but everyone's faces turned pitiful. "I'm so sorry," Veronica spoke just over a whisper, placing a hand on the girl's arm.

"Gosh. Lighten up." Ana snorted, ignoring the pain in her chest.

Sarcasm was her defence mechanism. Nine times out of ten, she'd make a joke about her mommy issues or the fact that her father was a deadbeat. Her friends usually joke around with her, adding their trauma into the conversation and laughing along.

But Ana had forgotten that the people in front of her were nothing like her friends. They wouldn't laugh along but still give her a sympathetic look. They just had a sympathetic look.

Well, Jughead and Veronica looked sympathetic. Archie and Betty just looked awkward.

"Ready for your first day, Forsyth?" Ana reverted the conversation to her cousin. "As ready as I can be." He replied with a smile, but Ana saw how nervous he truly was in his eyes.

"Let's go, bye guys." Ana smiled again, shooting a wink in Veronica's direction, the girl's cheeks turning a maroon colour, which made Archie's jaw tick slightly.

"Home sweet home." Ana hummed as she took her helmet off once again, her blonde hair falling over her shoulders.
