Chapter 2

Yami nodded in agreement, still not fully trusting the two, but wanting to get herself and her sister out of here.

"Alright let's go" Deku said as he walked over and grabbed Yami's arm and started to walk out of the room. Lemillion still had Eri in his arms as they walked, and she was still playing with Yami's halo. Yami flinched a bit as Deku grabbed her arm, but she followed them.

As they get out of the room and walk down the hallway and out the door, Yami starts to hear something... It sounds like someone talking. Yami froze in fear. They hadn't exited the place entirely, but she heard a very familiar voice near them. It was one of the doctors... She listened to what they were saying.

Doctor 1: "You need to add this modification. With an angel quirk like Yami's, this'll make her even more powerful!"Doctor 2: "Agreed. It's interesting how her and her sister have such different quirks, but such unique and rare ones at that. An angel quirk, we could use her healing ability for ever lasting life! And the dark modifications are like one of a demon's, so she's the most powerful one here!"Doctor 1: "Exactly! And Eri's reverse quirk made her body the perfect base for these bullets, and erase quirks! And Boss can just rebuild her afterwards anyways, like every other time he's done this to her. If we test Yami's life essence again, we could use that to our advantage."

Yami had a panicked expression. This was why she was so protective over Eri, they were doing this to her.

Deku and Lemillion looked at Yami, concerned by her expression. "Yami are you ok? You look scared... Is everything alright?" "Yami?" Lemillion tried to asked and get her attention. Eri continued to play with the halo oblivious to what the doctors were saying. "Yami's life essence?" "What does that mean?" Deku looked at Yami concerned.

She put a finger up to her lips to signal them to stay silent, her expression still filled with panic. They could all hear what the doctors were saying, but Eri thankfully wasn't paying attention and more focused of the halo in her hands, which was part of the reason she gave it to her for now, cause she knew she would be too distracted by it to focus on bad things around them. The doctors had been using Eri's body to make bullets, and then rebuilding her with the help of an assembling quirk of some sort. And they were experimenting with Yami's abilities and life essence for the same reason, so they can do the same to her soon, and had already started doing it to her.

Lemillion then looked at Yami, "Yami, what did they mean by your 'life essence'?" "What did they do to you?" Yami tried to signal them to be silent again, not wanting to get caught. They already knew about what they were doing to Eri, since they had research done by pro-heroes before they got here, but they didn't know anything about what they were doing to Yami. They heard the doctor speak again. 

Doctor 1: "Once we get another sample of her life essence from her body, and then add the samples of the dark essence from her quirk and make some powerful bullets! And with the life essence, we can also try to make a concoction that could lead us to something for infinite life and healing, we'd be even more rich!"

Lemillion's eyes widened in fear. "Yami they're going to use your... Life essence!? This is bad we need to get out of here!" Eri looked over to Lemillion and looks at him confused, "What is a... Life essence..?" Deku coverd Eri's ears and continues to walk towards the exit while still making sure Eri didn't hear them talking.

Yami nodded and continued to follow them out of there. Deku, Eri, and Lemillion exited the room and walk through the facility. Soon they make it to the exit, but it's locked. "Hey guys... The door is locked" "Why is the door locked? Did someone lock the door?" Deku looked over at Yami to see what they should do next.
