It was another day for the drama club, with laughter and excitement filling the air as everyone eagerly gathered for rehearsals. The scent of freshly painted backdrops mingled with the faint aroma of popcorn bought by Addison, creating a cozy atmosphere that made everyone feel at home. Among the group, Addison and Gina were sharing furtive glances and smiles, their bond deepening with each passing rehearsal. For Addison, a spark of hope ignited within her heart as she noticed Ashlyn beginning to take notice of her, a feeling she had yearned for since a few months.

However, amid the cheerful chatter and the buzz of creativity, one cloud loomed large over Addison's excitement: Ricky.

Confusion clouded Addison's mind as she grappled with the question of why Ricky had auditioned for the play in the first place. But what truly upset her was the fact that he had performed one of Nini's songs without even asking for permission first. The thought of it boiled her blood; it felt like a betrayal. Before rehearsal began, she had scoured the school, her heart pounding with a mix of anxiety and anger, determined to confront him about his thoughtless actions.

Finally, in the bustling hallway, she spotted him leaning against a locker, a smug grin on his face as he joked with his friend Big Red. The annoyance flickered across Addison's face, but as she approached, she was suddenly overwhelmed by a strong, cloying scent that hit her like a wall, "there you are!" she exclaimed, her voice tinged with frustration, but her anger wavered as she wrinkled her nose at the overpowering perfume that hung in the air, "and what's that smell? It's way too strong."
