Addison's life was pretty great. She had a loving family, supportive friends, and she was really smart and creative. She seemed to have everything going for her.
But there was one thing missing in her life – a love life.
Back in the summer at Camp Shallow Lake, Addison had a special moment. She realized she was attracted to both boys and girls and this happened when she kissed her childhood best friend, Maddox. They shared this kiss after Maddox had broken up with her previous girlfriend. It might not have been the best timing, but they both enjoyed the kiss. For Addison, it was her first kiss, and it meant a lot but, in the end, they decided to stay friends and remember the kiss as a sweet memory.
Despite this, Addison had a crush on someone else, a person she liked a lot.
"Sweety! It's time to go! Your sister already left!" Addison heard her mom, Carol, yell from the kitchen.
"Coming mom!" Addison yelled back as she admires the choice of clothes for her first day as a somophore, "I just want to get everything right!"
The door swung open, and her mother appeared and both exchanged smiles in the mirror as silent conversation, a maternal affirmation that Addison was a masterpiece in her own right, "Addi, you look amazing. And you have to go, you can't miss the big announcement at school and that you might see your crush."
