"Leave that nigga where the fuck he at for right now we know our worth." Aurora's thoughts echoed in her mind as she distanced herself from Alonso. The words carried a sense of empowerment, a reminder of her own value and worth. In the midst of the emotional whirlwind, it was as if her inner voice was guiding her, urging her to prioritize herself and her own feelings
"And you should have got Jairo's number, I can't believe you let that nigga run over your mind, don't let that shit happen again or you gonna piss me off and I just woke up." Aurora was confused at her thoughts she was wondering why she was thinking these things, was she talking to herself? Was she going crazy, was she hearing things?.
"I think I had a little too much to drink I'm tripping ain't nobody here and I'm hearing damn voices."
"Your definitely are hearing things and you only had three drinks your not drunk, tipsy maybe but not drunk." Aurora heard again as her heart raised and she looked around wondering where that voice was coming from.
Aurora's perplexity deepened as the unfamiliar voice responded to her aloud, causing her to scan her surroundings with a mixture of curiosity and confusion. The surreal nature of the situation only heightened her sense of disorientation, making her question her own perceptions.
As her heart raced and her thoughts began to spiral, Aurora's hand instinctively reached for her phone, the contact name "Nalini" blinking on the screen. With a mix of relief and mild annoyance at herself, she pressed the call button, waiting for Nalini to pick up.
"Hey girl, where you at?" Nalini's voice echoed through the phone, the familiarity of it providing a grounding presence in Aurora's moment of uncertainty.
"Hey, Lini, sorry for leaving you in there. Alonso is fucking here like I told you was gonna happen and now I'm hearing voices or something." Aurora admitted, her voice tinged with a touch of embarrassment.
Nalini chuckled on the other end of the line. "Voices? You're probably just tired and your mind's playing tricks on you, and I know because Ben snatched my ass up now I'm stuck in vip with him breathing down my damn back.
Aurora couldn't help but smile at Nalini's reassurance. She knew her friend had a way of bringing levity to even the most confusing situations. "Yeah, you're probably right. I think I had a little too much to drink. I'm tripping—ain't nobody here, I'm hearing damn voices, and that's what your ass get bitch for not listening. "
