CH1 The Transfer

"Also I have three things before patrol. rookie officer Valeria Ramirez will be transferring from the NYPD. officer mary jones will be starting as a training officer. lastly, officer bradford lucy Chen will no longer be your boot she will be mary jones and Officer Valeria Ramirez will be your new boot." sergeant grey says as me and training officer mary jones walk in the room.

"I'm sorry this is ridiculous Chen has been my boot for three months surely there has to be some rule against this." a man with a very chiseled jaw says standing up whom I'm assuming is Officer Bradford my new T.O

"officer bradford do we need to take this to my office?" sergeant grey asks increasing his voice to show dominance.

"no sir" Officer Bradford replies sitting back down and looking me dead in the eyes.

"Please welcome officers Jones and Ramirez to the LAPD precinct." sergeant grey says motioning to us and then to our seats.

after recall and debriefing it was time to meet my new T.O. I walk up to Officer Bradford who was standing solidly with his arms over his chest.

"Officer Bradford? im-" I said approaching him but was cut off by him clearing his throat.

" I know who you are boot. Let's just get some things clear. you can't just come in here uproot my boot and act like everything is ok. you will do exactly what I say and order. anything otherwise and I will make it my duty to make sure you don't make it another day in the program."

astonished by his disruption all I could say was "Yes sir"

the first few calls were nothing. he was no harder than my last T.O. and trust me it took a lot from him to get me to transfer. *8 hours later*

"7 Adam 15 we have a 10-56 on the bypass by 10 and third"

"7 Adam 15 show us responding," Bradford says setting down the radio and turning on the shop's sirens.

"suicide attempt?" I ask looking at Bradford. I'm 99 percent sure he's unaware of why I transferred from the NYPD but he's about to find out.

once we pull up time looks at me and says. " this one is all you boot it will determine how I write your valuation today.

"yes sir" I reply taking a deep breath and relating a big sigh before stepping out of the shop.

" ma'am look at me you don't want to do this" I urge slowly making my way closer to the suspect.

" you couldn't possibly know what I want. for months he touched me and forced me to be quiet. I'm done being quiet I just want it all to end." she says shuffling on the ledge of the bypass. immediately there's a tightening in my chest. I know exactly what she's going through I'm just not sure what to say.

"ma'am I understand someone was doing awful things to you. but let me help you. let me help you put this man away. " I say moving closer and closer to her.

"y-you want to help me?" she says and right then and there I see hope in her eyes.

" I don't just want to help you, I'm gonna help you but I can do that unless you step away from the leg. if you jump that horrible man will be able to do the same things or even worse to someone else." I say reaching my hand out while she grabs it.

as I grab her hand I embrace her in a hug leading her to Tim. Once Tim puts her in cuffs. the tightness in my chest came back and a wave of anxiety came over me. I didn't even realize I was having an anxiety attack. The next thing I know everything goes black.

when I woke up I was greeted by sergeant grey and Tim Bradford.

"Ramirez you doing alright?" sergeant grey asked me.

" uh yes, sir I'm so sorry Im not sure what happened," I reply even though I'm pretty sure I know the cause of my fainting episode.

" you get some rest I'm gonna talk with Bradford," he says reaching for my shoulder and squeezing it.

Hi guys, this is my first rookie fanfic, and it's gonna be a little different. I'm not sure if I want Valeria to end up with Tim or Lucy. now I know I just started writing but I'm gone need a vote to potentially lean me towards one or the other. but there is one other option. I could do a throuple if highly requested. please let me know!!!
