Hi guys! So in this scenario, I recreated the scene from episode 10 of season 3, in which Ward dies for Sarah. Oh and also, for a better understanding, Big John wasn't with them.
⚠️Trigger warning⚠️
------------------------------------------------------------
As the golden hues of the lost city of El Dorado shone in their eyes, Sarah Cameron and John B exchanged proud smiles. The journey had been treacherous, full of danger and uncertainty, but they made it - they'd found the unimaginable treasure they had been searching for so long.
However, their celebration was short-lived, as the rustling of leaves and the crunching of footsteps broke the serene atmosphere. In a matter of seconds, the joyous scene turned into a tense confrontation. Ward was there. He was filled with intense anger, as his daughter no longer held affection for him, and meanwhile, Big John had his son's love. But after the unexpected arrival of the Pogues, Sarah, who had prevented Ward from shooting John B, made him give in and back off.
But suddenly, one of Singh's ruthless men appeared. His eyes blazed with fury, holding a shaky gun in his hand. The tension in the air thickened as everyone's gaze shifted from Ward to the henchman, with a fear growing in their hearts. He desired to kill all the Pogues, as his boss had been killed because of them. So, he chose Sarah to be the first one.
Ward's selfless act of trying to protect his daughter was a testament to his love, but it was too late. The shots had already been fired, and the damage had been done. The shots struck Sarah, not once but twice, piercing through the air like a nightmare turned reality. She staggered backwards, her hands clutching her wound, shock and pain taking over her features. John B's eyes widened in horror, his mind racing as he saw the woman he loved falter and fall.
"Sarah!" John B's voice was a desperate cry, his legs carrying him forward as he caught her before she hit the ground. He sank to his knees, his arms cradling her broken body, her blood staining his hands.
"No, no, no," John B's fingers trembled as they pressed against the wounds, as if trying to staunch the flow of blood. His eyes searched hers, their depths filled with a kind of pain he had already experienced and was afraid to experience again, but it happened. "Stay with me, Sarah. Please, stay with me."
Ward's shots rang out in the midst of the chaos, his actions fueled by the instinct for revenge of a father who had just seen his daughter deeply hurt. But, Singh's henchman also reacted quickly, resulting in the bodies of both men falling to the ground, lifeless.
John B sees the life drain from Ward's eyes and from the man who shot his girl. He felt sad, of course, but his focus was solely on Sarah. He could feel the warmth of her blood against his fingers, his mind unable to grasp the reality of what had just happened. Sarah's once lively eyes struggled to focus on his face. "John B," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Tears welled up in John B's eyes. His fingers trembled as he brought his hand to her cheek, rubbing it. "I'm here, Sarah. I've got you," he whispered, his voice full of hurt and a desperate desire for the impossible.
Their remote location offered no consolation. There were no sirens in the distance, no way to call for help. And as Sarah's breathing became weaker, JB's heart raced more and more. "John B," she whispered again with some difficulty."I love you." Tears welled in his eyes as he kissed her forehead, his voice choking with emotion. "I love you too. I love you more than words can say."
Her hand weakly reached up to cup his cheek, her touch growing colder with every passing moment. "Don't blame yourself," she managed to say, her voice a mere whisper carried by the wind. She knew him more than anyone.
John B's heart ached as he shook his head, his fingers trembling against her skin. "I should've protected you, I should've— I need you, Sarah," he murmured, his voice breaking. "I can't do this without you." He held her tightly, as if trying to shield her from the cruel reality that was going to torn her from his arms.
Tears streamed down John B's face as he met Sarah's gaze, his fingers brushing against her cheek. "You're gonna be okay, alright? You're gonna be okay," he repeated, as if saying the words would make them true. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest, the sheer terror of losing her threatening to consume him.
Sarah's lips curved into a faint smile, the effort causing her pain. Her gaze locked onto his, a silent promise passing between them, a love that defied even death.
And then, as the last breath left her lips, Sarah's eyes closed, her body growing still in John B's arms. The world seemed to stop as grief crashed over him, his heart shattered into a million pieces.
Time stood still as John B held her lifeless body in his arms, his heart shattered into a million pieces. The world around him seemed to blur, the sounds of the forest fading away as grief consumed him. He lowered his forehead to rest against hers, his tears mingling with her blood on her pale skin.
In that moment, all he could feel was the weight of loss, the ache of emptiness that had settled in the place where his heart used to be whole. The sun continued to shine through the trees, but all the warmth had vanished, leaving behind a void that could never be filled.
The rest of the pogues stood in stunned silence, their own grief etched onto their faces. Kiara's eyes were filled with tears as she stepped forward, her hand reaching out to touch Sarah's lifeless hand. Pope, JJ, and Cleo stood together, a united front of support for their friend, but their hearts heavy with sorrow.
Kiara's voice wavered as she spoke, her words a mixture of pain and disbelief. "John B... I'm so sorry."
But John B's gaze remained fixed on Sarah, his fingers trembling as he brushed a strand of hair away from her face. He couldn't tear his eyes away from her, as if looking away would make her absence even more real.
"I can't believe this," JJ muttered, his voice hoarse. He rubbed at his eyes, struggling to come to terms with the tragedy that had unfolded before them.
As the reality of the situation sunk in, Cleo's face contorted with a mixture of anger and sorrow. "Singh's man... he's dead too," she said, her voice tinged with bitterness. She clenched her fists at her sides, her grief transforming into a fierce determination for justice.
Ward's lifeless body lay nearby, a stark reminder of the sacrifice he had made for his daughter. The forest seemed to hold its breath, the air heavy with the weight of loss.
John B's denial was palpable, his mind unable to fully grasp the magnitude of what had transpired. He looked around as if expecting someone to tell him that it was all just a terrible nightmare. But the reality of Sarah's absence was a painful truth he couldn't escape.
Kiara stepped closer to him, her voice soft as she spoke. "We're here for you, John B. We'll get through this together." But his grief was all-encompassing, his world reduced to the woman he held in his arms. He pressed his lips to Sarah's forehead once more, his tears falling onto her still face.
As the minutes turned to hours, John B stayed with Sarah's body, unwilling to let her go. And as the stars began to appear in the darkening sky, he looked up, his eyes finding the North Star – their North Star – shining brightly above.
With a heavy heart, he laid her down on the forest floor, his fingers lingering on her face. He looked up at the sky once more. "Goodbye, my love," he whispered, his voice carrying the weight of a lifetime of love and memories. And as the darkness of the night enveloped him, he clung to the memory of her laughter, her touch, and the promise of a love that would never truly fade away.
He knew that his world would never be the same again. But he also knew that somewhere among those stars, Sarah's spirit would live on, a guiding light in the darkness, a reminder of a love that transcended time and space.
