Toby: "You sure you're alright man?"

Me: "Yeah."

Toby: "Sure you are buddy."

I was at toby's apartment after my meeting with Evelynn I called him to see if I could stay with him for a little bit. Right now I was watching him play games

I sigh and close my eyes thinking about what Evelynn said. Work for K/DA? I honestly thought she was joking but she wasn't. She was serious, I don't know what to say to her so I decided to ask if I can give it some thought.

She said that was fine and eventually we left our separate ways.

Now I'm here sulking...great.

Toby: "Finally going to tell me what's wrong?"

I look over at toby and see he was looking me concerned. His brash and cursing attitude I hear when we play is gone and is replaced by a caring person trying to help his friend.

I sat up and gestured for him to listen and think about how to tell him about my predicament.

Me: "I guess I'll start where we left off of at university with "the guy that was seen with a popstar" it's a long story by the way."

Toby shrugs and takes a sip of his energy drink.

So I told him that the mystery guy that was seen with Akali was me. He wasn't shocked that much then I began to tell him everything. Me and Akali meeting up, hanging out and getting closer, Evelynn showing up and that seemed to get him interested. When I got to the part where me and Akali got together he chocked on his drink

Toby: "Wait wait wait, did I hear you say that? You y/n got with Akali? What the hell!? And you know Evlyn?"

I chuckle at his reaction and nod.

Me: "Evelynn and yeah crazy right? But we are a thing."

Toby: "The crazy part is how you got someone before me!" He said pointing at me with envy, "I'm so jealous of you right now!"

I laugh at him and we calm down before I continue on. Then the next part was Akali leaving on tour and mine and Evelynn's meet up but when I got to the proposal I hesitated.

Me: "She said to work for K/DA to clean where they live and keep the place tidy."

Toby: "But you're at hextech though."

Toby pointed out and I sigh.

Me: "About that...I said I was thinking about leaving. That's why she said to work for her."

Toby seem to think for a moment before looking at me again.

Toby: "I get it now you don't want to leave because of me and Ema huh?" I nod. "Y/n I get that you don't want to leave us and that honestly is pretty cool of you it shows me that you care."

Toby leans back in his gaming chair.

Toby: "But if you really don't feel like you have that spark to continue with hextech then...work for Evelyyn."

Me: "It just didn't feel right you know? And I still don't know if it is...and it's Evelynn toby."

Toby shakes his head and places his hand on my shoulder and I look up at him.

Toby: "Y/n I think that you would be pretty stupid to turn the offer down bro. Me and Ema will be fine with it trust me. Well at least I would I don't know about Ema but I'm sure she wouldn't mind."

He ruffles my hair

Toby: "Plus we can still hang out and chill, you dumbass!"

I chuckle before nodding my head.

Y/n: "Yeah...I guess I was too stressed to really think outside the box."

Toby: "Stressed? What do you mean by that. It's not like anything is going to happen to you."

Is he trying to jinx me? We both share a awkward silence before Tony looks to the side.

Toby: "...what is this Evlyn like? I know she's the diva of K/DA but I am not much of a fan like you and Ema are."

Me: "Evelynn. And oh boy....this is gonna be a fun night."

Toby turns back to his computer.

Toby: "That can wait brah. Right now I HAVE TO CARRY THE INSIGNIFICANCE IN LEAGUE"

It was 12 and I was in my own bed after the homie Toby gave a ride home but the worst thing was that I couldn't fall asleep. I lied awake and stared at my ceiling.

When was the last time I felt so conflicted?

Not since a long time ago that's for sure. I turn to my side and reach over at my night stand and get my phone before opening it up.

I send a few messages to Akali asking how is her tour and if she is doing okay before asking if we could talk later when she has time.

And I waited for a response.

And wait. And wait. And waited some more.

Me: "Guess she's busy...or sleeping. I should head to bed too."

I put my phone to charge and go to leave it before a rings with a notification. Curious I check it.

Akali POV

I've never felt more stressed then I am now.

The new place was nice but it wasn't where I feel like I should be and I dislike it very much.

Ahri took photo shoots and I promoted our new album with the best smile I could muster. After that we went back to the luxury hotel we were staying at and I just flopped onto the bed meanwhile Ahri and Kai where talking about what we we're going to do tomorrow.

I just groan into the pillow before slapping both my cheeks.

Okay Akali this isn't the time to be negative and if you stay this way you'll only make it worse for yourself.

I then turn to Ahri and kai hoping to ask what is planned but before I could they were gone.

Me: "Nope this sucks." I grab a pillow and squeeze it to my chest and slowly fall asleep.
