The next couple of months with Brownie was the best I could ever have, until my veterinarian came to look at Brownie. After about a half hour to an hour, I was told that she had cancer. I think it was stage 2 or 3 but he told us that she would live for awhile if taken care of. So that's what my parents and I did. That horse was incredible and I could never be happier. Riding her was a blast to. At that time I rode Western instead of English. At the time I was also playing Softball. I have been playing since I was 8, and I was on all-stars at age 9. My best position was catcher or first base. Then, I had won state championships in Wetumpka at age 10. It was incredible. However I had to make a descision. Give up my passion (horses) for softball. Or stop playing softball for ..my horses. So that's what i did. I gave up softball. Next few years Brownie was..well doing not so well. I didn't know how long she'd last. At the time was 12. That's when things for me and brownie took a turn for the worst. My only thoughts were at that moment was 'Why?!.'
