Kyle and Y/N had been in the same kindergarten class since the start of the year. At first, they barely noticed each other, but one day during playtime Y/N was having trouble with a jigsaw puzzle and Kyle came over to help her. They ended up chatting and found out that they both had a lot in common. They both loved to play tag and read, and both had no siblings.
From that day on, Kyle and Y/N were inseparable. They shared all their secrets and were always there for each other, no matter what. They even started to think alike, and often acted like an old married couple.
In the lunchroom, they would sit together and talk about their day. In the playground, they would play tag and laugh until their bellies hurt. When they were done with their work in class, they would write stories, draw pictures, or play board games.
At the end of the year, they were sad to say goodbye to each other, but they promised to keep in touch and be the best of friends forever. They wrote each other letters, sent each other postcards so that they could keep in touch. They both knew they would be together soon.
Nobody could have guessed that the two strangers in the kindergarten classroom would become such close friends, but they did, and the bond they had was unbreakable.
